I did grow up in the Atari and Nes days and honestly I could hardly stand the original Metroid. It was several years later before I was able to warm up to it. After I became I fan playing Super Metroid I went back and gave the original a try. I did eventually beat it but I just never really loved it. Getting to the end was quite a grind. constantly being near death and having too kill enemies over and over for health and missles was really tedious. The music is catchy though I'll give it that.

@ grumblegrumble Fair enough. I do sometimes ramble on. Didn't mean to force my opinions on anyone.

I like the original Metroid, but it really doesn't compare to pretty much every Metroid game that came out after it. (exept Prime Hunters; that game is a piece of garbage) Games like Fusion and Super Metroid pretty much perfected the design with perfect controls and better level design and navigation.
Currently Playing: Xbox 360: Arkham City, MW3, Gears 3, UMV3, Battlefield 3 PS3: inFAMOUS 2, LBP 2. Rachet & Clank: All 4 One, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 Xperia Play: Crash Bandicoot iOS: Sonic CD, Infinity Blade, Arkham City Lockdown, Mega Man X, Chrono Trigger

Hunters had decent mutiplayer a few good concepts. (the hunters being able to fight you anywhere in a level)

^Usually the walls need to be bombed. And that Sector 4 part still drives me crazy every time I play Fusion. I always overlook the one block that I need to bomb.
I've tried that, I find these walls with "symbols" on them after I bomb them, no matter what I fire at them, bomb, missile, beam, charge beam... it does nothing. Not to mention I'm stuck because I can't get past this blasted wall to get back to the Navigation Room...
I've found the Pump Control area, the hidden missile area and the two top areas... I've bombed every wall and nothing... I literally have no idea what I'm suppose to do...
Nevermind, figured it out now... defeated the boss, just how do I get back to the Navigation room? e.e
Wait, the Pump Control area? Is this your first visit to Sector 4? I thought you were talking about a much, much later part of the game. Sorry about that.
Your objective is to deal with Serris, right? Go to the rooms at the top of the map. Bomb every wall, floor, and ceiling you can reach. Even the walls that look normal.
It's even more annoying if you can't rely on missiles. I fought Serris earlier today, and my R button randomly stops working at least once whenever I use my 3DS.

I can't tell you how much i hate Serris's cries -.- God, how annoying.
Just had a ton of stuff happen. Don't really want to spoil anything, but I was recently been motioned to go back to the ship I came in from to download data for my next location.
So much fun. :3

Oh, Serris is a trip! I beat him on the 2nd try, though. You can either stay underwater and shoot at the dust clouds before he shows up or you can hang out on the broken bridge and shoot at him. You'll be almost near death when you kill him. He's a fast sucker!

Just beat Metroid Fusion. It was so much fun to beat this game for the second time. I'm going to try 100% sometime when I don't have other games to play but now I'll move onto next GBA game. Clear time 3:18 and items 54%. Didn't bother trying to find items as I knew that I'm still going to miss some without using some kind of walkthrough.
It's its, not it's.
