In the recent issue of Nintendo Power, in that interview where Capcom mentioned their plans to bring out all 6 NES MM games before the anniversary, they also teased interest in putting out this game along with those NES games... Anyone else interested in this unique MM game with RPG styled dialogue?
Though I haven't played much of it, I'm pretty sure MegaMan V for the Game Boy wasn't an RPG (the only "RPG" element I thought was the money system "P-Chips" introduced in MM4GB.)
Yeah, it's a great game, and I'm playing through each level no damage / buster only on my channel, but it's absolutely not RPG styled in any way! It has a store feature, but so do a few entries in the classic series...don't get your hopes up for anything like an RPG!

If the 3ds ehop gets mega man 6 first that will be awful because the wii still needs megaman 6 to complete the nes series on the wii & capcom will most likely not support the wii u outside of monster hunter because they know those games are cursed to sell bad outside of japan.

Give me SSF4+5 capcom or else you WILL be sorry because SSFIV:3D sucked!
Not changing my statements until mario party 1 gets on the virtual console.

Well it seems to have RPG interactions; there are text boxes everywhere.

It doesn't. Just a few cut scenes, non-interactable.
It's a classic series Mega Man game. Really, as nice as it might be to think this pushed the series forward in some way, it didn't, so don't get your hopes up for something it didn't try to do! It's your standard helping of robot-blasting and boss-fighting. It's a GOOD helping, but a standard one.

@Barbiegurl777 In a nutshell, Megaman is a franchise that is composed of seven independent series that usually stars a hero in Blue who is armed with an arm cannon. Four of those series are 2d Run'n gun Platformers, two are RPG's and the remaining one is a 3D Action platformer. In order of Continuity, here are each of the Mega man series: Official Universe Mega man Classic Personal Favorite of the bunch Mega man X Mega man Zero Mega man ZX Mega man Legends
And yes, Megaman Classic had a cartoon back in the early 90's by Ruby Spears and it was cheesy. There are also two anime series based on Battle Network and Star force afaik but I never did get to watch them. If you want to know more, feel free to ask in the Mega Man Fan Club thread.
As for Megaman V, I'm trying my best to track a physical copy of that and Megaman IV. Those two were the highlights of the gb series. I love how the fifth game went all out by replacing your buster with a power arm and added new Robot masters, erm Stardroids, into the roster instead of recycling old bosses.
I remember seeing Megaman V back in the day in pages of Nintendo Power but yet for some reason I never did get a chance to play it. One of the reason that I have wanted to play this one is because of how different it was compared to other Megaman games at the time. Hopefully this game will make it to the 3DS eShop.

I would still play Mega Man IV if I were you. It's totally worth the time.
