Are there any release dates for these games since I am quite anxious to get them. Also are there some that are worth the buy or not? Thanks !

We're supposed to get them before the end of the year, along with the two Mega Man Xtreme games. Considering we still have 3 full months left in the year, we probably won't get them for a while.

Honestly, I'd go for the NES titles unless you're that person who only game the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Gear Virtual Console games on the 3DS. The Game Boy titles very similar to the NES titles... only not as good. If you were to get any of those seven Mega Man games, then just go with Mega Man V which has original bosses and levels that were never seen before on the NES titles. I wouldn't bother wasting your money on them. Some say that the NES games are harder to see on the 3DS because it's a handheld, but I didn't have any problem playing the NES Mega Man games. For the X games, I'd just wait for the SNES releases for the 3DS, it's just better.

Well Mega Man II on the Gameboy is by many to be considered the worst out of the Game Boy games. Mega Man V tends to be by some one of the best but I think thats just because of the unique story and bosses that one had.

I have only played Dr. Wily's Revenge and honestly I was really disappointed in that one so I probably wont pick up the others except for V.

I will take the word of our resident Mega Man expert. Looks like I will give IV a try than too.

What I want is a 3DS compilation of Megaman ZX 1 & 2.

(Strange how Capcom stopped bothering doing that.)

(e.g they put all the Megaman Zero games on GBA onto a DS cart).

I'll be playing them all once they come out. Mega Man III combines my favourite bosses from Mega Man 3+4, and combines the best of the soundtracks - giving it the best of all Mega Man games imo. :3

I'm awaiting IV and V especially.

They stopped because ZX Advent bombed.

There is loads of stuff that bombed at the time that would sell as a download because people might actually know it existed.

Neither of them were particularly badly reviewed.

Dr. Wily's Revenge was decent actually. What did you expect from a GB Mega Man game from 1991? I prefer it to the original NES Mega Man.

GB Mega Man II is more of a port of the NES game than Dr. Wily's Revenge was of the first NES game. Its not an exact port of course but it has less new content than Dr. Wily's Revenge. At this point, I'll still get all the 3DS VC Mega Man games regardless.

And I would quite like Capcom to produce a new Mega Man game for eShop. Call it Mega Man World 6 and make it a direct sequel to GB Mega Man 5 with the same characters but completely new stages so that its not a remake.

(The GB series was called Rockman World in Japan, so I say to use that suffix to avoid confusion with the NES game)

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Personally I like Dr. Wily's Revenge a LOT. But I'm willing to concede to a certain amount of nostalgia...it's the only Mega Man game I owned growing up. Everything else was rentals and borrowing. I'm not going to pretend it's flawless (it's absolutely not) but I still enjoy it and it's worth it for the 2 Wily stage tunes and the closing credits music if nothing else.

Mega Man II was a joke. Mega Man III was disappointing because it hewed so close to the NES games...making it feel like a big step back from the top-to-bottom reworking we got in Dr. Wily's Revenge. It was better than II, but not nearly as good as it should have been.

IV gets overlooked a lot, and I can understand why, but it's worth a gander. It's more than a simple mashup of 4 and 5...they put significant effort into the stage design and is a lot of fun to play. It also has my favorite Mega Man killer.

V is just a masterpiece. I really can't say enough good about it. It's not my favorite Mega Man game, but it's very high on my list. If you download only one of these games, that's the one to get for sure.

...at least until Bass's Mega Man World 6 comes out. Because that's a great idea and I endorse it entirely.

IV is somewhat okay. I found the levels a bit tedious, especially Dust Man. Since I have it for Wii Virtual Console I'm taking V.
Strangely this puts me in the mood to play MMIV right now. Bye.

I have nothing really to say about myself.

Remember, these are the Game Boy games. They're different from what's available on the Wii!

I'd say 3 and 4 on the Game Boy (and arguably 1...I can roast through that thing but I do keep hearing others talk about how difficult it is) are harder than their NES counterparts.

2 is easier by a landslide.

5 doesn't really have an NES counterpart, but it still feels a little bit easier to me than the NES games do.

Mega Man V for gameboy is defiantly worth buying, it's the best one out of the five. It's also the only unique one because the game doesn't rehash bosses from past games, this time you have new bosses with brand new stages. Mega Man IV is pretty awesome as well since it introduces Ballade, and the Wily stage theme is great.
As for the rest they're all pretty good, except Mega Man II GB it's pretty mediocre when compared to it's predecessor and the games that came after it.
