Why would you buy this? You'd be better off just downloading Petit Computer and waiting until Discostew finishes his port of the game.

It's the nes original... And I do have Petit com, but I don't think MMII could be played on it as well...

actually, the price of petit computer is greater than the price of most VC games. It would be cheaper to just wait. (although petit computer is pretty awesome)

I already have it on Mega Man Anniversary Collection on PS2. it's a good game, though, if you never played Mega Man before, you should get it

I'm gonna get this game. It was said to be one of the greatest games on the NES! #4 to be exact; just below Super Mario Bros. (#3), Legend of Zelda (#2), and Super Mario Bros. 3 (#1). If it's really that great, then I'll definitely get it you know what I mean! You know I actually held out on Mega Man 1 so I could get this... the wait will be worth it.

Hi, this is Discostew (the author of the MM2 PTC port), and while I'm honored that people would wait for me to finish the project so they can get their fill of the game, it is still quite a ways off. The holidays and basically the last couple of months of 2012 were hectic on its progress. I would recommend for anyone that wants their fill of Megaman 2 to go with the eShop version when it releases in their region. Don't worry, I'm sure there will be a reason to have both when the time comes.

So is this game coming out this week? I need to know so that way I can get me some eShop points.

Yes it is. For both North America and Europe on the 7th (after 2 days). Very excited to purchase it. : )

I feel like there should be Megaman NES/Famicon 3DS thread, since there are 6 of these games, and it would be a little strange to have to make a separate thread for each one, especially since I'm sure there will be a lot of references to the other games within the 6 in each of these threads, and the games all relate to each other.

Mega Man 2 got a 9.5 out of 10 on IGN and an 8 out of 10 on Electronic Gaming Monthly! This game will be very good!

As long as folks are talking about the right game in the right thread I don't see anything stranger about having separate threads than I would for any other series. Each game has a similar setup but with different enemies, items, weapons and strategies I don't see any reason to condense franchise-wide discussion into a single thread.

We do have this thread that has been on going for everything Megaman http://www.nintendolife.com/forums/general_discussion/the_meg... in fact its been going on for a year or so I want to say and the last post was about a month ago. This is usually where I post anything Megaman related.

@Philip_J_Reed (and everyone else) Good. Say Mega Man 2 is coming out in a day. Get your arm cannons ready, and wear your blue helmets, because it's gonna be a wild ride.

I will be happy that I can play Megaman II again and not have to worry about the buttons being backwards.
