Oh wow. I have never played this before. It's just like Mini's March Again though on DsiWare, but its so neat. Kind of like a mix of Super Mario and DK together. Loving it so far! This game is brilliant ;)

This game is awesome. It's just like Donkey Kong for Game Boy. Very addictive.

it's good my most played GBA game so far.. but I liked DK on the gameboy VC better, the level design there was more challenging and gave me a great sense of satisfaction when I finally solved a level after losing 10+ of my lives :D .. Nintendo should consider an eshop 3DS DK game probably using different 3d depths (kinda like Mutant Mudds) to mix the gameplay mechanics a bit.

Totally! I love how they combine elements from the original arcade Donkey Kong, the Gameboy DK version (which I love the best) and even Super Mario Bros games. I also love that the original Mario Bros. is included in the other Yoshi's Island release! So awesome ;) Keep in mind though that the original doesn't have the backdrops, the arcade version of Mario Bros. has a black background and isn't as 'cute.' This is an updated version for the Gameboy Advance, and it's much appreciated!

I can't stop smiling when viewing the opening intro for the first time. This game has chunk full of Nintendo charm.

I got it and played it the other day and instantly liked it. It still has that charm from when I first played it years ago and the controls are still tight. The cutscenes are funny and amusing (Shy Guy News?) and it is a treat to play it after Game Boy Donkey Kong and see the inspiration from that game that got into this one. This is an early favorite of the GBA Ambassador games for me.

It also makes me wish that Nintendo would go back to this kind of gameplay again for a future Mario vs. Donkey Kong.

Totally agreed. I don't get why they decided to go the Lemmings-esque route and focus on the Minis.

Because it was a new gameplay mechanic. Maybe they thought releasing yet another platformer just playing as Mario wasnt enough?

Fantastic game and one of the few games where a bad soundtrack doesn't hurt it. Loved Donkey Kong 94 and this took it and made it...better? At least newer and about as good.

I love how stupid the story is. It's great.

Actually, I beg to differ about the music. The second final boss battle music is surprisingly epic.

Yes, the story is bizarre. Why would Mario want to save a bunch of Mini Marios from Donkey Kong when his factory could easily make more? But story is not a big deal in Mario games, so it still adds to the charm.

I love this game too. I got it a few years ago and beat the last few levels earlier this year. It's an awesomely creative game. :3

I thought it was obvious.. Mario wanted to save the Mini-Marios because DK was gonna use them for his evil purposes and, umm... they look like Mario but are mini.

As a sidenote, I love how if you walk off screen and forget about the Mini Marios, and they start saying "Ohhh, Mario!" lol

You can never have enough Mario platforming action. The Mini Mario series is okay, but to me, nothing beats controlling Mario himself to defeat DK. I hope Mario vs. Donkey Kong 5 plays like the first one. :)

Have you picked it back up yet? I got to the volcano world (3 or 4?) and it got really hard really quick so I put it down to play around with Swapnote, need to pick it back up though! It's great.

Isn't this basically a sequel to DK 94 on Gameboy?
I never played that one until it recently came out on the e-shop and I loved it.
I'm also having a great time with Minis March again on Dsiware.
