For people who are having trouble with the controls here... Make sure you have some coins, if you drop below 5 coins you will lose a lot of control over your kart. The more coins you have the better it controls. That was my biggest gripe about the game back then, made it damn hard in the later difficulties.

One thing I really wish I could enjoy on this Mario kart is multiplayer. The Ambassador games don't support it yet.
Online would be really cool too if they added that.
Honestly I just wish I had one friend that I could play Mario Kart 7 with even! I don't know anybody that owns it, and I have nobody on my friends list!

I didn't download, since I already have on my Gameboy Advance. It was one of my first portable games ever. For those who have yet to play it please pick it up. While not the best Mario Kart game it is among top Gameboy Advance games.

This is my favorite Mario Kart game, I don't know what it is about it. I'm glad that Nintendo made it available to me, because I lost my copy about five or six years ago and never replaced it. While my brother was being excited for MK7, I was anticipating MKSC. heehee

I forgot to mention, this is not like the new ones to anyone new to this, hitting other karts with your own is a bad plan, you'll lose coins and you need them

I played through the first Mushroom Cup courses and I love this. You can see how the other Mario Kart games borrowed the best from these and took off with their own updated versions. This is where a lot of it started, though. Great fun! I still have yet to play Mario Kart 7 but I know I will be early next year. I have too many GBA games to play now! :)

Back when it first came out, I hardly played it because the physics slightly turned me off. I've played it since then on the DS and found that it's a neat game. It tries to stay faithful to the SNES and N64 games.

Now that I have it on the 3DS, it will keep up my playing time for it, even though Mario Kart 7 towers over this one. Actually, I don't know why Nintendo didn't choose to put any more Super Circuit tracks in 7 besides Bowser's Castle 1. Sunset Wilds and Ribbon Road would have looked great.

As much as I struggle with the controls, it reminds me of things I miss about the old games: ghost house levels and the ghost item particularly.

I'm confuse about the ranking letter grades. Does it rank base on the amount of coins total or points?

I miss the ghost item from MK64... I loved using that to go through the train, wish they brought it back on MK7, but ah well...

It ranks your overall performance. So if you avoid getting hit by any shells/bananas, falling off the stage, running into walls, and getting first place every race, you'll get 3 stars. Easier said than done though. :(

Super Circut was the game that my parents got me with my Gameboy Advance which was also my first gaming system; so I can't help having great memories of it. The controls can be very hard to get used to especially after playing other Mario Karts but it has some really neat tracks and I had hoped more of the would be in Mario Kart 7.

I hate the turns. The controls just feel way too sensitive. I end up turning way more than I want to. Other than that it's a great game.

What's up with Luigi's voice in this game? I thought they already decided on his voice by the time this came out. I know Melee had a weird Luigi voice too, while Luigi's Mansion had the normal voice. Same goes for Yoshi in MK64. I thought Nintendo decided on his voice. (the usual "Yoshi!")

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

This might be why I've always found the controls to be really touchy. It's always been my least favourite MK game.

Mushroom Cup 50cc is a piece of cake, Flower Cup not so much. The first time I actually finished I came in 2nd, and the second time I came in 1st. Is there anything to unlock in this game besides the Special Cup (how do you unlock that btw?)?

I must say that the retries in Grand Prix are a Godsend.

You can unlock all of the SNES tracks.

In order to unlock the Special Cup, you must place first (1st) in all of the Grand Prix races (Mushroom Cup, Lightning Cup, Flower Cup, etc). You only have to place 1st. You don't need to do it as all racers or get A Rank. Just 1st place in the four Grand Prix races. Once you do the same for the Special Cup, you "beat the game."
