There's an error on the eshop currently regarding Mario Golf. The picture for it is in fact "Dr Mario" the black & white original version of Dr Mario released last week via virtual console on the eshop. Disregard this, it's still Mario Golf! hehe

Yeah I thought that was strange too. But when I downloaded it. It was Mario Golf GBC. I never played Mario Golf GBC before so I'm very impressed with the graphic's already.

Nah I don't buy everything lol. I just like to play video games alot. I get bored pretty easily & play video games kills the boredom & also a good way how to fun in the process.

Oh, I wanted to ask you guys... I am having the hardest time trying to figure out how to putt further than a few yards with each club. I read the manual in the game and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any pointers? My par is 16 on hole 1! lol

Step 1: Let it go all the way to the left side the yellow/white line & hit the A button.

Step 2: Right before the line in the middle/close to the right side hit the A button.

The ball will go further. ( I was having trouble yesterday as well with making the ball go further.)

I feel like all I had to do was play the champ of the Marion place in a match, win the tournament, and then I was done with the first part already...I feel like I am missing a little more to this game. I did play a mini game

The next time I'm in a WiFi hotspot, I will be downloading this. I have played the N64 version, so I'm curious how much different the GBC version is.

I loved the GBA game, so when this comes to Europe (hopefully soon ), it's a buy for me. Camelot do really well with the handheld Mario sports titles... the RPG is a lot of fun! (shame Mario Tennis Open skipped this)

Would be really fun if Nintendo actually translated Mobile Golf (GBC), which could be considered a "sequel" to Mario Golf (GBC), and released it on eShop. Afraid it will never happen, but it would be great if it did.

This game makes me wonder again, why they took away fan favorite modes in Marrio Tennis Open (I know this is the Mario Golf GBC forum, but still).

I am really enjoying this game as well. They don't make them quite like they used to.

They took them away because MTO was viewed as a console experience. TBH, I don't think an RPG mode fits with tennis.

A RPG mode fits in a tennis game as much as it fits in a golf game.

Not quite. In the golf games they effect your shot height, drive, ETC. In Tennis they only effect your slices and power shots. That was the main reason I strongly hate Mario tennis power tour on GBA. It didn't feel like Mario golf GBA did.

Believe me, both golf and tennis are almost impossible to play at first and require years of training and gaining experience to master.
Anyways, whatever.

I've only played Mario Tennis (GBC), but it had Power, Speed, Control and Spin. Did they really remove all that for the sequel? If they were, I don't see the problem bringing it back in a later game. In fact, there are stats they could add if they wanted too. Oh well.
