Finally played it for the first time. It's good, but I still stand by what I said about liking the Oracle games more. It gets annoying when I can't skip some of the text i've already read...

Edit: I'm talking about things like when you approach a liftable object before you can lift it, and the kids who are panicking when the "Dog" is kidnapped". It gets annoying if you forget to create a savestate.

Anyone else struggling with the Genie boss of the second dungeon? His fireballs always kill me and I have no clue how to avoid them once I break the pot...

im trapped in the second dungeon as well i been everywhere except that door i dont have a key for that door where the 2 statues with the eyes and the 2 skeleton guys are with the locked door at the bottom

it makes me wonder if theres a extra key within that door and if so i may have to start the game all over again or maybe the part with the shyguys have a key in there if so i have no way of beating them but if they act like those guys from a link to the past
that can beat with arrows then im already working on that thoery by playing the pick up to do a quick 60 rupee collecting to get the bow from the shop

You shouldn't need the bow this early. Keep looking around. There is one key that's easy to miss

Just run around the place. You'll get it eventually.

Did you steal the bow? :P I actually defeated those shy guys by doing a spin attack.

I wish Nintendo replaced printing the pictures with adding an option to import them into the 3ds camera. Maybe when SMB Deluxe comes out Nintendo will realize the potential of this feature.

As for the game, first time I played it! I love how it feels like a sequel to Link to the Past.

This is a signature.

That's what i was hoping for. I guess the photos still have their collectible value.

I should point out to everyone playing for the first time, you should do certain fun things around town (crane game especially) once you get a certain character following you. I won't say anything else, but it's amazing.

The "Nintendo Approved" method of solving that puzzle is to face away from the shy guys and hold down the sword button. This allows you to move towards them without turning round (and as a result, they don't turn to face you). When close, release the sword button to do the spin attack and you'll hit their undefended backs.

Anybody else having serious saving issues? I've lost my data about three times; I beat the 3rd dudgeon last night, and even though I saved, when I turned it on this morning it had me at the beginning of the dungeon again! I've had to do all three dungeons twice for this reason. My suspend data sometimes crashes and causes me to have to start everything over...am I the only one?

I think it's just you. It's working fine for me. Also, are your items saved? You usually start at the beginning of a dungeon if you save in it :|

I've had no difficulty saving. In fact, I pretty much just close the app and let it auto-resume, without ever even thinking about saving.

Yeah, I've been absolutely fine with the restore points. I always save at the start of a dungeon, which is usual for me in Zelda games. Otherwise, I'd be lost and have no idea where to go/what to do!

So you don't have to pay for anything in any of the shops? The only negative effect is being called "thief"? So I can just take that 200r shovel without any repercussions? Am I understanding this right?
