I love it! It has all the charm a Kirby game should have. Squeak Squad and Super Star Ultra were terrible, but this game is wonderful!

You have just incurred my uncontrollable wrath.
KSSU was the best Kirby games I've ever played, and I remember it fondly as one of my favorites in my collection. Pray tell, what did you find wrong with it?

That being said, so far it seems like The Amazing Mirror is just "The Great Cave Offensive" on steriods. And I like it!

I'm working on a game that's coming out soon!

This game is so confusing! I basically just walk around with a vague direction in mind and hope I find something new. >_< It's fun though, just really big and overwhelming...

Use your map. It makes navigating so much easier

At least after figuring out how the map works. I had troubles navigating with it when I played Amazing Mirror for the first time.

EDIT: This game should have an online multiplayer mode

Yeah, navigation is confusing at first, but you have to use the map (been a while since I played it, but as someone has said it's in the pause menu) and once you realize how the map/warp points work and that the map is essential to get about, it all starts to make sense. It's similar in style to one of the last stages of the Subspace Emissary in SSB Brawl (made by the same people).

I totally agree. When I played my brother's, I told him I didn't get how he understood what he was doing. But it's fun.

The other kirbies really could have been better made as companions. They do little to avoid damage and dont even follow you through doors most of the time.

No, Hal had very little to do with Amazing Mirror or Brawl. Amazing Mirror was largely Flagship, who also developed Minish Cap.

Oh right. Well I guess I meant Sakurai's influence over Kirby (in general) and that level in Brawl as the connection.

played this one for about an hour and a half and I just can't get into it. Compared to "Return to Dreamland" and "Epic yarn" this game just feels to dull for me (could be the fact that I've played over 3 Kirby games in the last 7 months )

So I'll probably come back to this one eventually.

You know, I've been very critical of the level design in most Kirby platformers (except Dream Land and Adventure) for a long time, but giving this one another chance with an open mind, I must say that's great fun. The abilities make running about and killing things a whole lot more fun than I might have expected (cupid and the throw ability are my current favorites).

Best move in this game: Up+B with Sword Kirby
I love that attack!
Even better if you have Smash Kirby with other cool attacks.

I've tried to ask you what you thought of it multiple times (considering you've "been very critical of the the level design in most Kirby platformers"), but now I see you've never played it. Well, enjoy and prepare to add another game to your list of good-level-design Kirbies.

@Late Smash Kirby is the best. Well, the best aside from the special ability you unlock after you beat the game.

I did play it before (on an emulator, back when I did that), but didn't enjoy the random-seeming worlds enough to play very far into it. This time, I stopped judging that and instead just enjoyed the action / abilities... and I'm having plenty of fun.

I just keep going in circles, and even if I see other places I could go, I can't get there. The abilities are cool, but the game is frustrating.

Well, Master Kirby may be the best ability but Smash is funnier (and it can do the Sword Up+B attack)

I found it to be very fun and very open. I found it to be slightly difficult but the backtracking is enjoyable. Coming from a Metroid fan. lol
