There are many 3DS VC games in Japan, and most of the games we are getting are usually eight months behind from them. Mega Man 6, Recca, Spelunker, they got from December of that last year. Some of those games are inaccurate and a little bit off, but that's an approximation. I could be a month or two off, but that's how most Japanese to American VC games are.
Sorry if your in the PAL region, because I will be be talking about American release predictions based on what we have and what's coming up. Also, there are some games that have different names in the PAL region.
I'm going to make a list for what I think are going to be on the American Virtual Console eventually. My predictions are in order based on the dates on the Japanese VC. I will start with Nintendo first-party games.
Mario Tennis (Game Boy Color)
Donkey Kong 3 (NES)
Devil World (European NES)
Mario Bros. (NES)
Wario's Forest (NES)
Clu Clu Land (NES)
Mach Rider (NES)
Here are my predictions on the third-party games. Some never got an American release, and I could be wrong about something from the list, so let me know in the comments. However, this first list are games that have came out in Japan VC (and some in PAL VC) in times where my "eight-month" idea just doesn't work, like with Kirby's Dream Land 2.
Side Pocket (Game Boy)
Revenge of the 'Gator (Game Boy)
Nintendo World Cup (Game Boy version)
Blaster Master (NES)
Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom (NES)
Star Soldier (NES)
River City Ransom (NES)
This second list, is also for third-party games, but this is my predicted order for when they should be released here in America. They should be released somewhat like my order here in America. I could be wrong, but this what I think. All of these games are for the NES/Famicon, because that's mainly what Japan has been focusing on in the past eight months.
Solomon's Key
Milon's Secret Castle
Crusin'
Crash 'n the Boys: Street Challenge
Double Dragon
Salamander
Super Dodge Ball
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Renegade
Sky Kid
Bases Loaded
Nintendo World Cup (NES version)
Double Dragon II: The Revenge
Yie Ar Kung-Fu
Ufouria: The Saga
These are what my predictions are, and I've been looking this stuff up for a while. If there's any mistake I made, please tell me and I'll clean it up. For example, if I put a Nintendo game in the third-party section. I hope that this would give you an idea on what we should see in the coming months. Enjoy!
Devil World probably not. They're still afraid of some Christians taking the game too seriously. I mean, look what some of them are saying about Pokemon.
I think saying Jekyll and Hyde was on VC was an error someone made. (then again, some would argue Toho making the game in the first place was an error )
Thank you for that. Also, Star Soldier just came out and Solomon's Key is coming to the PAL Virtual Console. I guess that my predictions are actually for the PAL Virtual Console... unless they come to the American VC soon.

I think the NES did better in the UK than the Master System. (At least in the toy shops there was always loads more NES games).
Don't think the NES games have held up as well though. (My eyes hate the NES sprite flicker).
Master System - Power Strike 2 is better than any of the NES equivalents by miles (Crisis Force / RECCA / Zanac all of them). It is closer to a TG16 game.
If you want to play Star Soldier get the Gamecube or PS2 Remake.

I guess the NES VS Master System was alot more like the SNES VS the Genesis/MD in the UK, I live in the US and I never even knew about the Master System until 2002 when I was browsing a Sonic fan site.

Yes, the NES essentially crushed its competition in North America. I had heard of the NES since I was a kid in the late '80s, but the first time I even heard of the Master System was around 1993-94 when someone wrote to GamePro asking where they could still buy MS games and the first time I actually saw the games was in the late '90s when emulation-friendly classic gaming sites showed up.
I can remember seeing loose Atari carts in a bin in a dollar store in the early '90s, but I had no idea what system they were. (I'm still not even sure, I'm guessing 5200. I think they were square shaped.)
I hear Joy Mecha Fight is a game that deserves a western release.
One of the only licensed fighting games on the NES, and I think it's the only first-party fighting IP (except Smash Bros.).
