I thinking about starting an online campaing asking for more Virtual Console releases every week. Anyone interested? I have some ideas, but it is great to listen to people worldwide their thoughts about the virtual console market!

Wow thats great. That way they can burn through their entire selection of VC games and then we can start a campaign on how no more games get releases on the VC at all.

Just be sure to not misspell campaign or any other words when you do it.

So, how is the correct way to spell it?

C-A-M-P-A-I-G-N. Your thread title had C-A-M-P-A-I-N-G, that is, you had your "g" and "n" reversed. Not a big error, though, almost didn't notice it myself.

That's exactly how I feel. I just started thinking about that two or three months ago when I realized that there aren't that many Game Boy or Game Boy Color games anymore because of how there aren't that many good ones not on the Virtual Console. The Mega Man games are coming out soon, leaving the Donkey Kong Land and Pokemon games become the only good games left not on the Virtual Console. It's a good thing that the GBA library is about a million times bigger than the Game Boy and Game Boy Color libraries combined. That's why I'm not complaining that there aren't any GBA games on the 3DS Virtual Console, yet. I could wait a year. However, they should at least have SNES games very soon, because they have the entire SNES and N64 libraries to take care of also, let alone the TurboGrafx-16, Neo Geo, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Virtual Arcade, and maybe Atari 2600 and Atari 7800 games that they could poke at.

I think you're underestimating the size of the original Game Boy library (granted GBC wasn't very big, it was mostly a stopgap console that only lasted a couple years). Thanks to the GBA warez scene for their idiotic numbering of ROMs, we know there were 2810 games (counting regional variants and revisions and of course Pokemon, etc. multi-version games). According to one ROM site, they have 1571 original GB games (again, including much duplication for regional variants, etc). No count for GBC but let's be generous and say maybe 500 worldwide. It's hardly "millions" more.
And of course with higher volume comes more garbage (not saying GBA was a bad system, it was great, that's simply a fact of any popular console).

Plus, considering that GBA had tons and tons of NES/SNES ports and remakes (at least 50% of the whole library), the number of original, made-exclusively-for-GBA games decreases. It's unlikely they'll release some of these GBA ports (like the Classic NES games and the Super Mario Advances, excluding Yoshi's Island).

It's a campaing trip. A rather ingenious marriage of the words "camping" and "pain".

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

Avenging Spirit is among the games whose original cart value actually increased after VC release.

I think they have made a choice that they want to help people sell mediocre stuff on the eshop more than get as much money as possible from their own back catalog. (Sucks for me because I hate carrying carts about).
