Hopefully, I'd play them more often on my 3ds.

Also maybe that would mean updated versions of our ambassador games (which are rather rough around the edges).

Yeah same here. If you recall from e3 2010 Nintendo did show us the tech demo that Yoshi's Island is coming to the system which i get the strange feeling that Nintendo is saving them for new 3ds.

No just release the ambassador gba games to everyone or just put them on eshop just not necessarily VC.

...just buy a Wii U. Its not hard.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Problem solved then.

Personally I don't really mind playing GBA games on Wii U but I really want Super Mario 64 in stereoscopic 3D with analog circle-pad support.

Also, I've just bought my nephew quite a few GBA games for an upcoming birthday and this coming 'holiday season' so if Nintendo could just hold out releasing GBA on 3DS eShop a little longer it would be really helpful.

Having said that it wouldn't surprise me if GBA are the last of the games to become available for the new handhelds.

How does that solve the problem? I didn't realize Nintendo's eShop was cross platform now.

The eShop is about as cross platform as Playstation Store

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

@Tasuki If you can download GBA games on your Wii U, you don't also have to play them on your 3DS. Not every game ever is going to appear on every console ever. So sometimes you have to go where the games are instead of waiting for the games to come to you. And as far as playing GBA games away from home, I'm sure you already have many games on your 3DS that you can play until you return home to play your GBA games on Wii U. I really don't have a problem with GBA games being Wii U exclusive. Personally I wouldn't even download them if they were on 3DS, VC games on 3DS are more expensive than the same game on the Wii U for some reason, at least in the UK. It's just not worth it.

@Bass_X0 So just cause you are satisfied with having GBA games on the Wii U, and don't feel the need for them to be on the 3DS, then everybody should. Good to know that.

@Bass_X0 I'm not quite sure you understand the issue here. The issue is that on the Wii U, you're playing the GBA games at a resolution they were not made to be played at. The preference to play them on the 3DS is completely because of the portability of the console, but because they can be played at their original resolution. Sometimes, the GBA games look much uglier on the Wii U due to the change in resolution, whereas they'd fit almost perfectly onto the 3DS screen and look like how they were supposed to look.

While that would be awesome it would also mean to pay for the same game again. Even though I would like to play some snes games, which I already own on wii u, on my n3ds, I am not gonna pay for them again.

This. I only play GBA game on the GamePad, but even there everything is stretched out. I don't feel like GBA is a good fit to the Wii U.

@Bass_X0 it's also not worth it to be tethered to your chair in one room, when you want to take something like say pokemon leaf green. with you on the go the 3ds is much better in that respect because you can take those 3ds games with you on the go, and it feels like you are playing the gba games like you where when you where a kid on trips. the wii u limits where you can play, and most people don't like that as they remember playing gba games in the back of a car or on a camping trip. this is why the 3ds would be a better idea to have gba virtual console games on it then the wii u. that and the wii u is almost at the end of it's life span cause the switch is coming.

Nonsense. PS1 Classics (which are Sony's VC basically) are cross-platform since day one. Same for "minis". Ninty just doesn't know how to treat customers in the 21st century.

That aside, I'd love me some GBA games on the N3DS. I mean, I already have them, but I would like to get them legit, just like I've got me some SNES love when Ninty finally figured out how to fit a SNES cart into the 3DS.
