The brightness settings would have something to do with that too.

Wait, hold up a sec. Does Australia already have these? The NA eShop doesn't have these yet. I just checked a few minutes ago.

I hope they come on the NA eShop today.

I'll be checking back this afternoon. I believe we got the NES games late the day they were supposed to be released, so hopefully we'll get these today.

I would expect that the games will look perfectly crisp and beautiful when played at their original resolution. Somehow I suspect that anyone calling them washed-out was using a stretched mode, which is always a bad idea if you care about visuals.
GBA games on the original DS looked quite beautiful, so I don't see any reason why that would change, apart from optional scaling.

But why did Australia get them early? Nobody else has got them, just Australia... I smell BS lol.
Doesn't seem region specific either, change it to Australia, check the eShop and they aren't there... hmm... weird...

Funny how some people expected huge sizes, pokedex 3d has taken up over half this much room alone and it's only about half the size of Nintendo Video
[21:36] BadKitty: I see people are excited to play as LJM xD
[21:38] Aqueous: It should be fun but it makes me worried were you are in episode 1
