@Philip_J_Reed, I believe I did obtain the wing upgrade from the leader of the village. I'm unable to pass the first wall, because it has an over-hang. I may be doing something wrong, but I didn't notice any difference in the jumping mechanics. Is there a specific way to execute a higher jump, so I can glide over the wall?

Yes and no. :) You don't need to glide over the wall, you just need to jump high enough to barely touch the overhang. When you do you'll cling to the overhang, and you can jump again.

If you can't jump high enough to touch the overhang, then for some reason you didn't get the upgrade. Maybe you need to talk to him again, or something got glitched. But yeah, you don't need to jump over it...you just need to jump high enough to touch it. Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot @Philip_J_Reed. I kind of figured it out on my own. At first, I just couldn't seem to pull the jump off correctly. I finally got it down, and now I'm moving further into the game. I'm glad you made my situation so obvious; otherwise, who knows how long it would've taken me to get back on track. :D lol

Your wish was granted by Jambi many moons ago:

I think he meant games beyond just those 3.

Gargoyle's Quest 2 is honestly one of the first games I ever played, never got too far in the game but this game has been a treat for me. It's like a better Zelda 2 in a way, with the odd mixture of platformer and RPG elements. The RPG elements are really basic but it works incredibly well. It's like they took a short platformer and added stuff to increase gametime, but not enough that it becomes annoying or overly tedious.

It's better than Crystal Monsters, that's for sure. GQ has a daunting difficulty at first, but other than that, it's pretty good.

There's an invisible path to the hole. Memorize which tiles are safe to stand on, and which push you away, and you'll get there before long. I can be more specific than that but I'll give you a chance to figure it out. :)

Oh yeah, the desert! I remember that one. Very tough. But I eventually memorized it like Philip said and got there. This is a great game! Very short imho, but worthy of a sequel!

Me too! It was so fun! I flew through the game I had such a great time uncovering its mysteries and going into those daunting spikey tunnels. lol I really like the 'evil' element in this game, kind of creepy but i loved it. It DEF needs to go on my "Replay!" list, along with Avenging Spirit!

Was the desert really all that difficult? I got to the dungeon on my first try pretty quickly (I actually kind of got pushed into it, lol). I guess I just got lucky :P

The dungeon itself was very difficult, though (especially the boss, which was the toughest in the game, IMO).

The desert was nothing compared to those interconnected face caves in my opinion. All those venus flytrap things weren't helping much, either!

that reminds me, is Gargoyle's Quest 2 on Wii's VC? That would be a fun nostalgia bomb for me.
