I purchased Game & Watch Gallery 2 from the Nintendo eShop, and it's awesome! Thanks a lot for the recommendation!

I spent a while getting 1000 points on Parachute yesterday on Hard, using save states.

Boy, I lost count of how many lives I lost during that. It would be impossible for me to get the five stars through normal means.

how do you unlock the extras?

I... I totally forgot we could use save states in these games. I haven't even used them for the first Gallery!
I'll try to get my stars by normal means for now, though.

@Sherlock: You need to earn stars by playing well. You need to score 1000 points in every single game and their modes to unlock everything.

Trying to not use so many restore points right now. WOuld like to feel like I earned some of the rewards ....maybe later on though.

I'm surprised so many people need restore points! I'm pretty close to 1000 on most of the games without using any, though Ball is the only one I really mastered. Got to 2000 on Ball on Hard first time playing it.

I absolutely LOVE this game! Just wondering - is there any benefit to having the DSiWare versions of these games? For people who own both of them, do you find you still play the DSiWare ones? I really love being able to have the Game and Watch games so I'm just wondering if it is actually worth it to double up.

Not really besides the DSi Versions looking more accurate to their real counterparts. Just get the Game & Watch Gallery games you will get all of them plus the remakes for less!

I made a promise to myself to not use Restore points, and so far I have 32 stars. The hardest game for me so far is Modern Ball. Whenever a Bomb-omb appears, I freakout and lose. Hope to make it to the staff credits before I stop playing,

I'm on 42 stars right now, overall these games are way easier than they were in Gallery 1. Easiest for me is modern DK, I got to 1000 in that on perhaps the second day.

I can barely play DK, both versions. It just feels weird to me, like Classic Octopus on the original Gallery.

I recommend doing Helmet Modern. If you collect every coin and enter the door, you will have 1,000 points in no time. Then at around 20 stars or so, you will unlock classic Ball, which you can easily get 1,000 points by going to game B. From there, you only need about 30 stars to reach the credits, and 100 more to 100% the game.

I'm starting to enjoy modern DK, after several games learning where to move and when to jump I reached level 3 and died after a cloud disappeared and Mario landed on a barrel

So, what are your favorite games in this Gallery?
I think mine are Chef (modern) and Vermin (both versions).

Even though the music is not as good as in the previous Gallery, I think this one is better and more fun to play :3

really?its pretty easy for me(until you get 500 and you start seeing two balls going down one path),but modern ball is alot harder

It's just that it starts so slow and builds speed so slowly that by 88 points I got confused and mixed up the balls.
I'll try the hard mode later just to see if I do better there (like in Chef).

Edit: Ball on hard is ridiculously easy. Are you sure it's supposed to be like that? I mean, it gives you 10 points for every good move instead of just one.

Now I am at 38 stars, and I have a lot in every game but Parachute. I don't know why, but it just seems too slow at first, then the speeds jumps WAY too far. Besides that, I think I got this.

Also, Is it me, or does mario look.. A little strange in Ball? He seems a little weird compared to how he looks on the title screen...

Game & Watch Gallery 2 is so much fun! I played it for 2:09 straight today. The music is lovely.
