Technically the Game Boy Wars series (1, 2, 3, Turbo) was, unlike the other consoles, developed by Hudson Soft (they possibly also made the unreleased 64 Wars). Not that it matters to most of us since they were Japanese-only games anyways.
Nah, because this list for systems that were never on the Wii VC. NES, SNES, and TG-16 games already had their second releases on Wii VC and are having third and even fourth releases on the 3DS and Wii U VC while many old handheld games never even had a second chance. The first party games are the most essential.

Plus Konami seems to have little interest in releasing Hudson IP outside Japan.
I remember Hudson began releasing TurboGrafx games on PSN and phones before they were closed, and I don't know if those got much attention since either.
Adventure Island II NES isn't released on 3DS VC. I know the GB port is available, but the NES version for Wii VC wasn't even released in North America.
Sure we have Star Soldier and Milon's Secret Castle (maybe they're aware of the appeal of a certain nerd?) but where's Princess Tomato. I also wouldn't mind the early FC games, but I suppose those are too obscure.
Though Bomberman is curiously missing everywhere as well as Momotarou and they are (for Japan in the latter) practically mascots (though I guess in Momotarou's case, the series might be better known for the train-themed board game spinoff that was (probably) annually updated until they broke off with the sub-series creator)
Dunno it looks like they have put some effort into the emulator for the PC Engine on the 3DS. (The Auto fire Switches for example are implemented).
Crisis Force is the only Konami game i am interested in that I don't have (I have 3D Classics Twinbee / Castlevania / Super C).
(Probably get the second Gameboy Castlevania and the NES Castlevania III even though I would rather have the Famicom music).
But really the Hudson stuff is what I want. (Bomberman 94 / Soldier Blade / Blazing Lasers - I will leave out CD stuff until Japan has an example of one available). I would probably have got Raiden and R-Type as well but I am happy with the dotemu arcade ones. Especially Raiden because flipping a tablet over is easier than messing about turning a TV on its side).

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
The 3DS VC will be getting Donkey Kong Land afterall (in Japan for now)
Really? Sweet. I always wanted to play the DK Land games. Hopefully this means Nintendo will eventually put the DK Country trilogy on Wii U VC after de-listing them from the Wii VC.

Looking at all the GB/GBC games I'd still like to get from the 3DS VC service I realise that none of them (except for Pokémon classics) are first party Nintendo games. That said, there are at least a dozen games in my mind for those consoles I'd like to still get. Hopefully those third parties cooperate for more VC releases. :3

What are the third party GB/GBC games you'd like to see?

A bit late on the reply, but;
Warlocked
Survival Kids
Castlevania: Belmont's Revenge
Adventure Island 2
All remaining Mega Man games (6) to Europe
Harvest Moon 2/3 (3 confirmed)
Dropzone
Battle City (Japan exclusive unfortunately)
All Dragon Warrior games (5) (Very unlikely, because Square Enix)
Duck Tales 1/2 (Confirmed no's, because pushing the inferior remake)
