@Aqueous Yeah, I had trouble on Chapter 5 to get Joshua on to my side without losing too many of my own men. Unfortunately he destroyed Ross and Franz before I could get him to join us, not to mention he is a tough little pain in the backside to kill, but as soon as he joins my team his HP goes down quite quickly when he gets attacked.
I'm on Chapter 6 now, I think it's the one where I have to save these girls from spiders? o.0
I loved this style of game when I first played it. It might just be that I'm tired right now, but I think I've outlived my ability to read through Fire Emblem's endless dialog. Skipping through it makes the game feel empty though, somehow, so I'll have to come back to this later and see if maybe I just wasn't in the mood for FE.

The trick was to send seth around the long way wiping everyone out in the way so that natash has a safe route to get behind the trees close to the back way in town. Mean while have everyone else on the steps closest to the town and him without entering it. This draws everyone else away for Joshua, then when they are all slayed. Natash will be able to get beside him and chat safely and then finish the level with everyone in tact. I used the other healer with the big group and rotated them as needed. It was a close battle.
I've completed the prologue and first 2 chapters on Easy (no casualties so far), and I'm loving it. However, I can't figure out how to scroll down on individual characters' weapons/items screens. This is especially important now that I've got free access to an armory and the supply system for the first time. Can anyone help me out?

Got a lovely game over screen when some dude killed Eirika (whatever her name is...) on Chapter 8, so now I've had to start over, good thing too really, I was down to about 4 units. :/
I'm gonna send Eirika on a solo suicide mission during the next chapter to check it out.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

I've been trying to get both villages in chapter 9, but but I can't make it in time without someone dying. (no casualties yet, I intend to keep it that way) I guess I'll have to skip the second village. IIRC, it's something I don't need right now and can buy later anyway.
@BulbasaurusRex: Put the cursor on the unit -> press R to open the info/stats screen -> go to the inventory page -> press R and highlight the item you want to look at.

R is basically the help/info button.
Ah, I have to press R to first get the info on the list's top item, then I can scroll down the list. Thank you.

I played FE on GBA for a bit (my brother's) but I lost interest. One of my friend's told me to get Sacred Stones over Minish Cap back when the two GBA games were out but opted for Minish Cap instead. Now, I get Sacred Stones, and though I don't regret my decision back then, I'm sure liking having them both with me all the time on my 3DS
I love the Fire Emblem games and ive lost a lot of sleep staying up and playing this in bed when I should be getting some kip. At least the kids have broken up from school so it doesnt matter if I sleep in a bit. lol Its a bit of a trial and error game and as soon as I lose a member I just suspend the game and restart the chapter I just dare not lose any of the heroes. Loving this game so much im neglecting my other 3DS games,,, yeah, thanks a lot Nintendo when will I get time to fit in my other games. jk lol

Glad to hear all the positive feedback, as this one is actually one of the GBA Ambassador games I am least interested in. I do know the game is good and the developer is Intelligent Systems, so it has to do with my lack of love for strategy games.
Having beaten Skyward Sword yesterday, I may give it a try soon.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.
It was my first Fire Emblem experience as well. I was hesitant to get it because it seemed so similar to Advance Wars and I tried to get into Advance Wars, but completely sucked at it. However I enjoyed Fire Emblem a hell of a lot more.
I'm playing this game for the first time. I chose easy but am getting annoyed with how much time it spends giving me tips. Should I restart at normal or does it quieten down later on?
Most of the basic concepts are introduced close to the beginning, so after the early chapters it should stop explaining everything. You can also skip the explanations by pressing start, and view them later if you want to.
This is by far my favourite GBA Ambassador game! It plays exactly like Advance Wars, except with a leveling system, and Advance Wars is one of my favourite game series. It also has a far more developed story. For me this has made it worth buying the 3DS early, as I'd happily pay £30 for this game. Plus the fact that I'm having loads of fun with Super Circuit and Minish Cap too! Amongst all the other GBA games!
The support system makes the game a lot more interesting.
i don't understand the support system. None of my people will talk to eachother. Any tips?
Also this is my FACORITE ambassador game! i have already made plans to buy a 3DS one if it comes out, and considering the wii one aswell. I am stuck on chapter 9 though, just gotta keep trying!

However, I am beginning to severly hate Eirika. She's weak, slow and is easily killed... I know I have to level her up before she becomes better, but it's really hard to even bother with her and instead just send in Seth.

A compatible pair's support increases whenever you put them next to each other for a turn. Once it reaches a certain value, they should be able to talk and level up their support.
@xDemon720x: What level is she on now? For me, she usually dodges, attacks twice, and gets decent amount of critical hits.
