Fire Emblem is actually pretty nifty, I think I'm gonna have to search around and find more Fire Emblem games, this series is awesome!

This is my first Fire Emblem game too and I'm enjoying it. I'm playing on Easy just so I can get used to the gameplay, I had no idea what to expect. I think if you lose anyone, just restart. You'll likely find it harder to win and more likely to lose more allies if you continue and are inexperienced.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Grab the Wii one while it's still cheap. It goes for a lot over here but I see it's less than 20 Pounds on Amazon UK.

@kkslider5552000: Yes, the permanent death was frustrating for me when I started playing Fire Emblem. I don't consider myself particularly good at strategy games. I just stuck with it, and over time I learned how to keep weak units alive and avoid dangerous situations.
I dunno why before when I played the Wii game, but I think that made me quit the game. Forgot when I did play it though, but I think I can get myself back into the series.EDIT: That reminds me, is this game "linked" to any other games out there? Like, I heard that beating the game you can use the save data to continue on in a sequel or something...

I love Erica (Strike Witches), Eureka (Eureka Seven), and Tenma (School Rumble), stay away from them. xD
Update: Also love Yukari and Mizore from Rosario + Vampire.
Another Update: Also Yuuki...from School Rumble...
Yet Another Update: Also Amber and Xiao Pai from Rune Factory 4.

You could take your characters from Path of Radiance and put them on Radiant Dawn, somehow, if that is what you mean.

Oh, so those two are the only ones doing that then I guess...ah well

Even though I'm not too far in the game, I'm really enjoying it so far. A fantastic start for my Fire Emblem experience.
I'm back (for the moment)!

Gald to see you guys are enjoying Sacred Stones. It is to say the least a fun experience for those who play it.

While I have played and enjoyed several Fire Emblem games, this was the first I played and remains my favorite. It has one of the strongest storylines in the entire series and an amazing line-up of characters. Hardcore SRPG players don't like this one as much because it's so easy to make yourself overpowered, but I for one loved kicking the final boss's behind with my maxed out characters and their weapons. I also like that the fact that the two separate main characters make it a must that you replay the game at least once.

@kkslider But isn't that the definition of every penalty system ever? I mean, would you say that the "lives" system in Mario is unfair cause it allows more skilled players to play longer? Or that Sonic shouldn't fall in pits, cause it's unfair to people who foul up their jumps?

yeahhh.... not gettin' into this one. I was never really an RPG kinda guy. Tried it, it just seems cheesy to me. Not my cup of tea. But I'll keep it around just in case Gonna go play Yoshi now

Thanks Mickeymac, as soon as I get some more money, I'm gonna see if I can grab that.
Got a lovely game over screen when some dude killed Eirika (whatever her name is...) on Chapter 8, so now I've had to start over, good thing too really, I was down to about 4 units. :/

Think I might go for the DS one too, and give the Wii one another shot.
39. Posted: Sat 17th Dec 2011 21:05 GMT
The DS one is not even close to as good as the GBA ones. Don't waste your money. I just cannot get into the DS version. This on the other hand...

Well IGN back then gave it an 8.5, I mean...it's supposed to be a remake of the first game and all that, so...yeah. lol
