I'm playing it on easy, and it's looking ok so far. However, the graphics are a bit pixelated. Perhaps I should put it in GBA resolution. I haven't gotten very far yet, so I've yet to see what it's really like.

Good replay value for this game as there are two separate storylines to follow after Chapter 6.

I haven't started it on the 3DS yet, but I've played it before. It is one great game. Colm remains my favorite unit, he's totally awesome, him and his girlfriend (don't remember her name at the moment >_<) were unstoppable on my first run through the game. =3

Already got game over once in Chapter 1 xD One spearman killed my main character with one lucky hit. Seems pretty much same as the other Fire Emblem on GBA but that's actually just a good thing

It's its, not it's.

I recommend Eirika's story first, since there are a few major plot elements that aren't mentioned in Ephraim's. I think there's some in his too, but not as many as hers.

I think Neimi was her name.
Not far in this game, but beat my cartridge copy a few times, it's not a very tough game even on the most difficult setting. Super fun and one of my favorite games, though.

I haven't even tried this yet. What am I missing?

It's a really good game, even someone with a short attention span such as myself could sit down and play this all day. You should at least give it a shot

Recently played Ogre Battle 64 really helps. What I mean by that is about the lengthy dialogue and in-between save points.

I've never played a Fire Emblem game before, so this was my first play when I downloaded the games... I'm freaking addicted. I've lost a couple of people already, which isn't great, but I'm having a lot of fun with Chapter 5. I love this game already!

Are all Fire Emblem games like this or do they differ in game style? Must be honest, I've never paid much attention, sadly.

I'm having fun with but I just quit to avoid losing Ross, I'll come back to it later

IIRC, this is the only one with a World Map out of the ones released in the west. Otherwise yeah, they all play like this.

That's correct. The game shares a few similarities with the Japan-only Fire Emblem Gaiden: the map, monsters, and replayable levels.

Come on, friends,

Oh, I will! I'm just too busy playing the other games first lol Working on Zelda Minish Cap (my all time fave) and Mario Vs. Donkey Kong

I've wanted to get back into this series for a while as I love Final Fantasy Tactics and I love Advance Wars.

But, I do have a major problem when I first played the first American released game and I see why they did this but it really annoys me. If you lose a character, you can't use them anymore. I'm pretty sure that's true with most, if not all, of the games. Which is a cool idea but just seems like a way to make the game more annoyingly frustrating for people who aren't that great at strategy games (raises hand) and even easier for people who are experts at these games.

That's always been a problem for me, too, but you can grind to lessen the difficulty in this one.

@kkslider5552000: Yes, the permanent death was frustrating for me when I started playing Fire Emblem. I don't consider myself particularly good at strategy games. I just stuck with it, and over time I learned how to keep weak units alive and avoid dangerous situations.
