Topic: F-ZERO maximum velocity (GBA)

hey
i never played f-zero. it seems really hard. i always slip away from the track and into the barrirers on the side and i loose much energy. it feels like driving on ice -.-
i have no idea how this game works!

Dont worry, i think that this is the slipperiest f zero game i've ever played, so the other f zero games are not as slippery. the trick in this game it to keep tapping a at sharp turns. hope that helps

I like this game, but I don't get how to use the air brakes properly. I'm using them the same way as I would in Wipeout, but it doesn't seem to be working well and I keep hitting the walls.

is a the breack? i changed the controlls.
when do i have boosts? i dont see a bar for that

Keep tapping accelerate. Also, the boost meter is on the bottom right corner. Whenever you complete a lap, you get 1 boost. To use the boost, press l and r at the same time. Just read the manual that comes with the game...

You get one boost after every lap and I think its represented by a small S on the screen which you can have three at the most of at one time.

and yeah, this isn't a game where you just hold the accelerator down and steer. You really have to let go or tap the accelerator during turns.

You guys weren't lying about the slippery thing. I blew up in my first two attempts on the first track on the easiest difficulty. I remember playing this game and thinking it easy, too, but it's hard to readjust to this.

I really can't get into this or the Mario Kart game...in fact, I kind of hate them

tapping the accelerate button in corners works great!
i finished the first GP. but the second was too hard. exploded on the explosion track^^

but this game is more fun than the GBA mario kart game.

Tapping the accelerate button ain't too bad... but I can't get out of the habit of just stomping on the gas and whizzing it, like every other F-Zero game. This and MK are gonna take me a while to adjust to...

I have yet to figure out how to use the turbo. For a sixteen bit game, it actually looks better than the NES-like original SNES game.

L + R is turbo.

Need this game, not 3DS ambassador.

Played only one race so far. Have been played the SNES one a good bit lately. This GBA one though, does not seem to turn very well from what I played of it. Kept slamming into walls. Once I figure it out I should really like it though.
The best Fzero by far is the Gamecube one though. That game was too overlooked in my opinion. I wish they would give us a new F-zero game...with Captain Falcon too.

I don't like it as much as the SNES one. The handling doesn't feel quite right to me, it just seems a little slippery. Maybe I need to practice more. I do find it odd that there is no Captain Falcon, Mute City et al.

I feel really bad. I haven't even gotten round to this one yet as I'm still replaying Zelda Minish Cap. I did play Mario Vs. Dk and enjoyed it up until I couldn't stay up anymore last night. LOL. Loving these games! Look forward to trying this one out soon, though I remember the original F-Zero.

Never played this before today, and have to say i'm not feeling it. I probably just need to get the hang of it a bit more, but it's pretty "meh" to me right now.

I'll say more later when I spend more time on it but it's got bad turns. My brother says he loves it and cleared it already, lol.

I love F-zero. This one is really weird though. Usually I'm good at the games but I suck at this one. I just don't really like how you turn. It's pretty overly hard. I'm getting use to it and the game is fun but geez. This is hard. I love F-zero X. This one, I like. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I don't know the plot of F Zero too much but I have two questions.
One: What is this "Great Accident" they speak of?
Two: Wasn't this game made Non-Canon by Nintendo?
