Topic: Donkey Kong Land Games

I wonder why nobody askes for the DK Land Games on Game Boy or even the Donkey Kong Country on GBC don´t you like this Games and what keeps Nintendo from relasing them on VC

Well first off super Nintendo games are inferior on the GBC. Why would I want an inferior version of a game on the eshop when they could just release the snes version instead. As for the Land games bring them on. It's been so long I don't quite remember them.

Donkey Kong Land is its own game. 2 & 3 are closer to their relevant SNES incarnations.

And "just release the SNES version"? Are SNES games available for the eShop? Are SNES games confirmed to come to the eShop any time soon? Until then, we get Game Boy and Game Boy Color ports of SNES games if they exist. They're still better than several other games on the eShop Virtual Console despite being inferior to the SNES versions.

Actually, I'm up for the Land games! I remember playing it on the original gameboy and not being able to see anything at all except under the perfect light conditions. But since they haven't been announced yet, I guess I'm not that fussed if they take a while to get here.

What about GBA?

Not a fan of any game Rare has made except conker's pocket tales, so no.

Conker's pocket tales? God man! That's like the absolute worse game Rare ever made in their history with Nintendo!

Hey, it's better than Conker's bad fur day IMO. I don't get why they ditched the cute nature of the first game. It doesn't fit.

2 is very much just DKC2 (with only minor map differences). 3 however has new levels (with themes similar to DKC3).
I own DKL1 (which is almost unplayable on an original GB) and DKL3, and I also imported the JP version of 3 because it's in color, and let's be honest, Nintendo's not cool enough to offer it as an import on VC.

Conker's bad fur day rules. I've never played a funnier game in my life. The game play wasn't as good as say Banjo Kazooie but the jokes more then made up for it.

The original version of Conker was considered too cute for a system that people thought had enough cute mascot games. So Conker was probably changed to make it stand out from the crowd.

Conker's Bad Fur Day was the s#!%! And they made it that way to attract the older gamers to buy the N64. But alas they failed not because the game sucked but because the PS1 games eclipsed the whole N64 library.

But go to any top 10 N64 games list anywhere and you'll se Conker's Bad Fur Day always in the top 5.

I respect your opinion, but dude don't spoil the fun for the rest of us. A lot of us love Rare and would love them to make a comeback. The 3DS just screams the need for them.

The game itself and the humor was fine, but the fact that they completely ruined the series it came from for no reason is what I didn't like about it. I still miss that conker N64 adventure game they had planned.

The DK Land trilogy is definitely some of my most anticipated eShop/VC games. As for Country, if anything, they should put the GBA versions of all three on the eShop(eventually).

Oh crud, I forgot about the GBA games! Yeah, those were awesome, and were probably the best version of DKC games that I actually liked.
