Topic: 3 more weeks of 8-bit summer?

This is just me, but I have a hunch that 8-bit summer is going on longer than we thought.

The Eshop folder for it, you see, has seven hearts on it, like from Zelda. 4 are filled. We've had 4 weeks of this now, however the deadline for Sonic blast and labyrinth were missed for a weird reason. It may just be me, but I think that means there will be 3 more weeks of it. Which makes sense seeing the games we have missing:

Sonic Labyrinth and blast
Castlevania GB
Shantae
Toki tori
Wario Land II.

Just a hunch, but what do you think of this?

It's obvious they will. They haven't gotten in the Sonic games yet, and those didn't have an assigned release date.

3 more weeks of 8-bit bummers....

Wario Land III also. Another week then apparently

I hope not. I'd prefer to see the rest staggered out. Otherwise it's the Wii VC all over again.

Including GBA games, there are probably a thousand or two more games that could be released for the 3DS VC. I doubt that'll happen.

Dude, seriously? We thought they had thousands they could put on the Wii, yet look what we're left with. You're fooling yourself if you think they could keep up that pace.

No I'm not... The wii has a ton of games already, and the NEO GEO Games keep on coming. Considering the GBA, GB and GBC have huge libraries (Not true for GG), we will last a while.

Yeah, I want Zelda 2.

This year should be 8-bit summer, next year 16/32-bit and should include Stafy, Drill Dozer, Pokemon, castlevania, and some ambassador games to the public

There are so many really good Gameboy games that I never had the chance to experience as a child. I hope Nintendo finds some way of being more successful with the Gameboy VC. There are literally hundreds of Gameboy titles I can barely remember. I hate licensing issues.

According to the official press release we got about 8-Bit Summer during t... the only two games we haven't gotten that were announced then are Sonic Blast and Sonic Labyrinth. Also, 8-Bit Summer ends on Aug. 1, which is a Wednesday, not on a Thursday. As for CVGB, Toki Tori, Shantae and WL2, those were not mentioned at all, and since Nintendo has not announced any plans to release them in the next few weeks, no one knows if they're coming next week or next year. I'd vote for those 4 and other titles (the other Ambassador NES ones) being slowly released during the next few months or so; Nintendo seems like they're spacing out their bigger VC title releases.

I certainly hope so! This last month has been great! I'm definitely grabbing Toki Tori, Wario Land 2, and Shantae!

I want Wario Land 2, the first one is a blast.

Me want Wario land 2 in the next few weeks, wait NOV 1st IS A THURSDAY and it's the 20th anniversary of Wario's 1st appearance in SML2, I honestly hope that's the day we get Wario Land 3 though not Wario Land 2

Were also missing Kirby's Dream Land 2, although they could be waiting until later than that because of Kirby's Dream Collection on Wii. Even though I'd also like to update some more of my Ambassador NES games, I think there's a few more missing games from EU we'll to catch up on first.

Europe still got it. Regardless, we will have to find out tommorrow.

I'll be mad if there are no VC games tomorrow, though.

I wonder with the 2 Sonics being released sometime this month and how it was announced that Columns would be released on the 8th in Europe, could July be NES/Gameboy month and August be Master System/Game Gear month? Be interesting if that was so and that then in September we get Turbographix month, and then October could be Advance games?!?!?!?!

Nintendo said they won't release GBA games to non-ambassadors. Also I doubt Nintendo will just pull a bunch of SEGA Master System games out of their arses.

If it was, I'd be extra eager for the update for those old games. My GBA ones don't even go into sleep mode manually. And chances are, unfortunately, GBA probably won't come until, what, Christmas, or 16-bit summer? But the sooner the better, as I don't care if everyone gets them: a year of having them first is plenty a head-start for me.
