Good! I really wasn't expecting them to include Master Quest in OoT3DS, so I'm pleasantly surprised to be proved wrong. Now, making the overworld harder in Master Quest as opposed to just dungeons would be icing on the cake.

OH GOD, YES!
Good thing I never played my cuz's Master Quest, cause I have the puzzles and everything memorized so much I literally could do it in my sleep.

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

As good as it sounds, I'm a bit uncertain if it can be trusted. What makes this a reliable source? From where have this guy heard it?

@BlackFira Just In case you don't already know the difference, master quest is basically a redesign of OOT with completely reorganized temples.

That's basically it, yes. Everything is pretty much the same, there's no new content but the dungeons have been redesigned to make them more difficult, some of the puzzles require a lot more effort. With the exception of the water temple, which seems to be easier..

I'm really excited that they're including this, if you've already played through OoT a few times, this makes it a lot more interesting.

well if the zeldas collecters disk didnt have that version then this may be the first time i played the master quest version but with a twist as in updated graphics and 3D making it seem almost new again

It has more difficult enemies earlier on and much more of them.

I've played both and there isn't much of a difference. The rooms in the dungeons are changed a bit, that's it. Maybe harder enemies but nothing really noticeable beyond the dungeons. It's not like its a new game. Still, it's better than not having it.

Harder enemies = a plus in my book. I always was annoyed at how easy enemies are in Zelda games. Even if it just means they have more HP and hit you harder, that'll make combat so much more fun.

What's this bit for again?

Guess my chances for getting this game reached 100% as I was a bit hesitant on getting this.

Never played the Master Quest so I'm going to give this a shot and purchase it. My brother has it on N64; I have it on VC and I've never beaten it because I stupidly formatted my Wii system accidentally and I was left off at the part where Hyrule Town is taken over by zombies... Oh, well, that's going to be freaky on 3DS... Crap, nightmares for the yung-ins.

.....And partially me.

In addition to harder monsters, Master Quest will seem harder because most of the people have all the dungeons all but memorized. The thing that makes it harder is that you look at the same spot where there previously was a chest for a small key only to find a floor with no chest, or a wall with no eyeball, or a ceiling with no hook shot catch. having to do the "figuring out what to do" thing plays a huge part in the Zelda series WHICH is why i am so incredibly excited for this addition.

I've played MQ on the GCN, and it's really quite frustrating, and the more familiar you are with the original, the harder it is. That said, as I still have that trust WW bonus disk, I'm not likely to pay again for this one...unless they put in all those rumoured extra N64DD Ura Zelda features as well (new enemies, sword beams new locations etc etc.) If they did that, INSTA-BUY!!

Nice, when I recently played through Ocarina, I'd originally intended to play through Master Quest, but was too far along once I realized it. Well, hopefully by the time I get a 3DS and this game, I'll want to play through again, despite doing so recently...
