Maybe itl take place after lttp. But honestly I read the whole time line and think it's BS. Something the creator made to quiet down fans complaining about no "timeline" I mean how can there be "the Hero's defeated" part when if you were to die in OOT the game doesn't continue since you get a game over lol makes no sense
It's not a gameover you get from playing the game. It was the original story in Link to the Past that no hero showed up worthy of the Master Sword and all of the Royal Knights were killed so the Sages sealed Ganon themselves.
no hero showing up doesn't make a "the hero defeated" part. that alone makes no sense because it would be an assumption That the hero was defeated. I I just don't think there should have been a Zelda timeline its kinda like trying to make a final fantasy timeline.....pointless and it won't work
Not that a hero didn't show up period, no hero was found worthy of wielding it. Someone did take the sword, and in order to take the sword you need to find the 3 pendants. Link did this in OOT. Which is where the Imprisoning War took place. It also says all the Royal Knights (and warriors) fighting Ganon died, this would include the person who had the Master Sword. Though why would the legend mention his name if he failed? It's not going to outright say, "We we're almost saved by some guy in green but he died using the sword". Especially when so many others died. Again this is the Japanese manual to Link to the Past. The English one has a contradiction that the Sword was made during the Imprisoning War. The Japanese one said it was forged long ago to be used encase anyone misused the Triforce's power.
Also it says the entrance to the Sacred Realm was opened completely by accident. Which again happens in OOT when Link takes the Master Sword.
Anyways what ever happened Link ****ed up period in more ways than one.
I get it but how could the person with the master sword have died (which was link) if he didn't die since at the end of ocarina he was alive all he did was put the master sword back and leave and ganondorf was sealed
As far as we know there could be multiple alternate timelines depending on the actions of the hero. Did this link die? Bam alternate branching timeline. Did this link meet this character? Bam, another branch. Did that link eat a sandwich? Kaput, another branch.
Why haven't we seen these other non-ocarina of time branches? Who cares?
About the thread's title... It's just another sequel to A link to the past. There's nothing special about this game that could destroy the timeline.

true that every new zelda game could destroy the timeline, but since this was the newest game at hand, i just wanted to include that in the title.
oh, and that reminds me! everyone remembers this screen from their childhood, right?
well, another alternate timeline, in which ganon has the complete triforce, as link was the triforces of power and wisdom, and is obtaining the triforce of courage.

the timeline is based off the story of the games not the games them selfs so when u die of corse it will do gameover and stuff.time line is made of three parts one where link dies, zelda turns link into a kid and when zelda makes link stay a adult.
Playing: Wargroove on Switch and Fire Emblem on GBA
I love the timeline, gives me something to think about after I routinely beat Ganon and save Hyrule. Also, didn't Eiji say ALBW shows what happened to the characters of ALTTP after it?

It's really quite complex you see constant tirme travel back, and forth those seven years caused a rip in time making two alternate realities of the same world, but then link going back to his childhood to regain those years he lost caused a nother rip where in one he went to Termina, and another where he was absent from the events occuring before wind waker.
