Oh yeah I also appreciate the old school Link look. Like he kinda looked like...the above image. I'm not one of those people that hated on the more anime look of Skyward Sword but it'd be nice to see more games with this type of cool, 80s/90s, japanese fantasy sort of look. Especially Zelda, a popular japanese fantasy series.

They all have an anime character model style...
Yeah, but the older ones had a more fantasy style to it.
Not Zelda, but anime has changed a lot over the years. We went from Fantasy Show characters looking like this or this to this and this in the span of a little over 10 years.

The whole 80s Japanese Fantasy and the more European Fantasy inspired stuff from OOT and TP are my favorite of the series art styles.

Have to say I was sorely disappointed in the reveal. Yeah, I've played some 2D Zeldas, but they never "clicked" to me the same way. I feel that the series truly shines in 3D, to me the puzzles are better, aesthetics look cooler and overall I feel more immersed in the world.
Also the way they revealed it irked me. I mean it's one of their big guns and they just show some kinda bland looking tower/dungeon with recycled music. Just look at the way Nintendo revealed Spirit Tracks [youtube:q7eHFxnIy9E]
Sense of adventure, tidbits of story and awesome, original music. That is how one announces a Zelda game.
Hope it will grow on me, but they'll need to show something more convincing than that.
This was a livestream. Why would they show a trailer in the middle of it? Most people just want the news that a new Zelda is being developed. The actual reveal doesn't really matter.
it's a ZELDA game!!!!! so as long they don't force you to use the touch screen(I was cool with it 'till my hand touched the corner of the screen and link walked to his death. over 10 not consecutive times...) it will be great!
oh and I hope there's no "HEY, LISTEN!" in this one(navi kept irritating me and when I forgot what to do and wanted some help that freaky fairy took over ten minutes to apear, and that was exactly when I had remembered what to do and went to do it....)
NAVI jokes aside I really like top down view zelda games!
P.S. wow my internet is horrible today. that is A tripple post!?!?!? this never happened before good thing I saw it and deleted the other two before anyone thought it was a troll post....
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

Majora's Mask has some of my favorite official art ever. It's wonderful.
My favorite game in the Zelda franchise getting a spiritual successor. I would have NEVER expected anything like this, I got blown away. Holy cow, this is going to be the best Zelda since OOT.
Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again
