They're going to give us a multiplayer update for NES games, but they couldn't implement this for GB games, or do you suppose the GB games will also get an update later this year that finally allows us to video link? It looks ridiculous seeing the option for 2 players in GB games yet not being able to do so, and it's not a very good VC if it can't do what the original system could.
Did any of the currently available VC games originally feature multiplayer? Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think any of them did. It seems a bit silly to make the assumption that they won't have multiplayer support when we clearly have no idea either way.
edit: my mistake, baseball did and they've clearly removed the multiplayer option.
I'm so happy about this! The games are much more worth then €/$/£80! I hope that Superstar Sega and the Minish Cap will come... that's all i hope for GBA.

I don't care all that much for the 10 NES games tbh. It's the GBA games that are interesting since they're exclusive and there's so many good GBA games. I really hope that 'Zelda Minnish Cap' and 'Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga' is among the GBA games we don't know yet. That would be amazing!
I have never played Metroid Fusion or the GBA Mario Kart game even though I had a GBA, so that's great news for me too.
Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

I really don't have to say anything, I just had this as well. I only got crappy games for GBA.

Just a little thought bubble: This is how big the GBA games will be on the 3DS if they run in their native resolution
The edge of the image kinda represents the edge of the 3DS screen. That's with the GBA resolution of 240x160 and the NES games will be a bit bigger (256x224) and more like playing a DS game (256x192).
I'd like to have an option to move NES games from Wii to 3DS and other way around so I could have my single-player games like Final Fantasy and Zelda on 3DS and my multi-player games on Wii (it's more fun to play on same console).
Anyone wanna place any bets as to when the 'exclusives' will be available to the late adopters? My guess is next summer.
Anyway, I'm a little miffed that we don't have a full list. But it seems unlikely that Nintendo will (for lack of a better word) cheat us out of some solid titles. I think multiplayer would be a great addition to some of these titles, but given Nintendo's online track record, I'm not going to hold my breath.

Yoshi's Island for the GBA doesn't use the FX chip? Bluh....
Well, yeah. The original version needed it because the SNES can't do all that stuff on its own. The GBA can, so there's no need for any extra processors. It's not like they removed the sprite scaling and parallax effects.
Why does it NEED online multiplayer? Be happy it is free! It cost nothing! No money involved!
Not to mention most NES multiplayer games don't have both players interacting... There are exceptions of course like side scrolling beat'em ups such as Contra, Double Dragon and Battle Toads to name a few. Not to mention sports games...
We better be getting a Megaman AND a Castlevania in the free releases.
MGS for the NES would be a great one too. Toss in Blaster Master and Gauntlet too.
I want to see some Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games included in the free releases but I doubt they'll do that because they know how much money they can make off those...
The announced GBA game titles seem much stronger collectively than the NES offerings
The 10 games shown so far are all either 1st or 2nd party. I don't think we'll be seeing Megaman, Castlevania or MGS. As for the Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest....I'm actually not sure would they really sell more than the mario games? (that they're giving away for free)
As for your third point, completely agree. I'm hoping the remaining 10 NES games have some more meat on their bones. Donkey Kong Jr, Ice Climbers and Balloon Fight seem like you'd spend at best an afternoon playing around with them and then be done.
I'm hoping for Pokemon Emerald, Wario Land 4 and Fire Emblem (or advance wars except I have the first one) to appear. Also games I've played but wouldn't be unhappy if they were included like Golden Sun or Mario & Luigi.
Out of the 10 games announced, I only own Mario Kart: Super Circuit.
An email from a Nintendo representative has seemingly revealed two more GBA games that early adopters of the Nintendo 3DS will be able to download for free before the end of the year. The games listed are:
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 Kirby & the Amazing Mirror
