They're going to give us a multiplayer update for NES games, but they couldn't implement this for GB games, or do you suppose the GB games will also get an update later this year that finally allows us to video link? It looks ridiculous seeing the option for 2 players in GB games yet not being able to do so, and it's not a very good VC if it can't do what the original system could.

Did any of the currently available VC games originally feature multiplayer? Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think any of them did. It seems a bit silly to make the assumption that they won't have multiplayer support when we clearly have no idea either way.

edit: my mistake, baseball did and they've clearly removed the multiplayer option. :(

Yoshi's Island for the GBA doesn't use the FX chip? Bluh....Plus I'd have to play it on a tiny screen the way it wasn't intended. :p I'm just going to suck it up and buy myself a copy off ebay some time.

Currently Playing: Mega Man V!

I don't care all that much for the 10 NES games tbh. It's the GBA games that are interesting since they're exclusive and there's so many good GBA games. I really hope that 'Zelda Minnish Cap' and 'Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga' is among the GBA games we don't know yet. That would be amazing!

I have never played Metroid Fusion or the GBA Mario Kart game even though I had a GBA, so that's great news for me too.

Looking forward to: ZeldaU & Hyrule Warriors

I really don't have to say anything, I just had this as well. I only got crappy games for GBA.

You know what, I hope they include Mario Tennis Power Tour. The tennis game on the VC right now is too old school and simple for my tastes.

Golden Sun and Fire Emblem are two excellent RPG that they could give us for the GBA catalog.

Just a little thought bubble: This is how big the GBA games will be on the 3DS if they run in their native resolution
Untitled

The edge of the image kinda represents the edge of the 3DS screen. That's with the GBA resolution of 240x160 and the NES games will be a bit bigger (256x224) and more like playing a DS game (256x192).

I'd like to have an option to move NES games from Wii to 3DS and other way around so I could have my single-player games like Final Fantasy and Zelda on 3DS and my multi-player games on Wii (it's more fun to play on same console).

It'd be neat to play the GBA games with a Gameboy Advance border, and with the slightly sunken 3D effect too.

Anyone wanna place any bets as to when the 'exclusives' will be available to the late adopters?
My guess is next summer.

Anyway, I'm a little miffed that we don't have a full list. But it seems unlikely that Nintendo will (for lack of a better word) cheat us out of some solid titles. I think multiplayer would be a great addition to some of these titles, but given Nintendo's online track record, I'm not going to hold my breath.

Thaaaaaanks for noticin' me.

Why does it NEED online multiplayer? Be happy it is free! It cost nothing! No money involved!

Well, it doesn't, but video games are more fun when played with friends.
Not really a complaint as it is a suggestion.

Well, yeah. The original version needed it because the SNES can't do all that stuff on its own. The GBA can, so there's no need for any extra processors. It's not like they removed the sprite scaling and parallax effects.
