Will your friends list transfer too?

It does yes. I bought the red 3DS yesterday and gave the wife my launch day black 3DS, it took about 20 mins to transfer, but EVERYTHING went on to the new system, all in the same order and lay out. even my friend code stayed the same (i didnt think it would).

So it basically transfers the entire firmware, not just the games. Interesting.

Last game I bought was Pinball Hall of Fame Williams Collection 3D. Unfortunately, none of the stores in Canada had any so I had to get one of my US friends to get it and mail it to me. Sweet.

If you're talking about Eshop purchases, then my last one was Pushmo.

My next awesome 3DS purchase(s) are/will be Sakura Samurai and Dillon's Rolling Western. Yeah, not retail, but I ain't buying anything else 'till then. Unless something amazing comes out. Or we get Trip World in NA. Next up would probably be...Kingdom Hearts 3D or Sonic Generations. I dunno. There's so many I don't know what to get next retailwise.

@WaveBoy I am interested to hear your opinion on Monkey Ball 3D. Personally, as a big fan of the first two Monkey Ball games on GameCube, I was immensely disappointed. If I had it to do over I doubt I'd buy it again. It seems too dumbed-down compared to the originals. I have fond memories of repeatedly dieing and pulling off ridiculously lucky and cool feats to get through that final goal. Flying through the air, taking death defying shortcuts. Stuff so crazy cool you were proud to save a replay of it. That kind of thing. Did you ever play the NGC originals?

The 3D effect is Monkey Ball 3DS's only redeaming value if you ask me. Because beneath that really cool depth-ish effect lies a terribly boring, dumbed down, uninspired, generic and kindergarden brain dead-easy pile of Monkey banana poop.
I'm still blown away that Nintendo Life scored it with an 8..... The level design alone is laughably tame and too bare bones.

I'd personally give it a 4/10 because of the 3D effect....Without it, i'd give it a 2. It feels like an utter waste of time, but in 3D it actually boosts the fun and immersive factor, without it the game is terrible. I mean there's absolutely zero challenge, which is mind boggling considering this 'is' monkey ball, which normally offers rutheless and precision-worthy on your edge difficulty

And yup, i played a chunk of MB and MB2 for the GCN, but i personally grew tired of both based on what i remember half way through. I may be in the minority, but Banana Blitz imo because of the super fun, intuitive and great motion controls plus that awesome jumping mechanic made MB all the more better! I had a total blast with that game, and for it totaly eclipses all of my other MB experiences. I don't know EVER want to go back to analog controls in a MB game ever again. Looks like i had to for the 3DS and it was boring as expected...The Gyro controls were interesting at first, but they didn't work quite as well as i hoped, plus they completely botched the 3D effect....

I'm not sure if I even want to keep SMB 3D. I've only kept it because of the 3D effect haha. Nintendog's + Cats did absolutely nothing for me which possibly had the weakest 3D of the bunch, and I didn't fancy SSFIV 3D either...Turning on the 3D knocked the game down to 30 frames per second and the experience is just so much better on the big screen., although that's easily the best of the 3.

PilotWings Resort however was pretty damn good! Insane how the 3D effect made the game 10x better, more immersive, fun, it helped tons with depth perseption and it was just wowza overall. If it were just in 2D i wouldn't of even bothered.

You know games played just fine without these fancy 3D effects. Games on the N64, GameCube, Wii, PS1, PS2, PS3, etc. all play just fine on a normal TV. I didn't buy the 3DS for it's 3D effect. I bought it for the new games, analog pad, and better graphics

Then you're basically fine with playing the exact same games over and over again with a new coat of paint graphically speaking. I'm not for the most part.The 3D is the main reason why i picked on up, plus the GB/GBC VC. I mean sure many games on the 3DS would play just fine without the 3D, but stuff like PilotWings for ex at least for me just isn't worth my time with the 3D effect turned off. The 3D when done right makes playing games in 2D pretty damn dull in comparison. The magic and immersion plus wow factor are basically gone....

If the 3DS were just a another protable handheld with prettier graphics, it would of been 10x less exciting.

I actually can't see the 3D, even when I adjust the slider and view the screen at the proper angle. I have problems with depth perception.

Do you wear glasses or anything? As for me, I actually ended up with an eye stigma back when i was 22 which i need to get laser eye surgery for. But I can still see the 3D perfectly. My vision only really becomes a problem if it's dark weather it's outside or in a room. My visions becomes distorted, fuzzy and kind of cloudy. In the bright light, or looking at a TV or 3DS for example there's none of that. I miss my crystal clear vision. ugh!

I've been wearing glasses since I was a young kid (about 6 or 7 I think). I have astigmatism in both eyes and I'm near-sighted (I can see well up close, but distant objects are blurry). I've thought about getting Lasik (laser eye) surgery, but that's way too expensive for me.

I bought Super Street Fighter IV 3D last week. Got it for £9 from Amazon but.. I dunno. I'm probably bad at kick 'em in the face games, but this wasn't as fun as I had hoped. I'm bad at pinball too, but Zen Pinball is an awesome game. Pretty cheap too.

Good gravy man have you lost your senses?!?! lol But really....I HATE Banana Blitz. I hated the, again, annoyingly dumbed-down levels, the blasted gimmicky worthless jump button, and found no real joy in the motion control like I thought I would. And boss battles?! Really?!?! Banana Blitz is what started to ruin the magic (and by "ruin" I mean rive and raze to ashes), then 3D just danced on it's unprepared grave. Kororinpa Marble Mania is almost everything a Wii Monkey Ball game should have been and more in my (kinda sorta) humble opinion lol OK maybe it wasn't THAT great but I loved it significantly more than Banana Blitz quickly spits at the utterance of the name of Blitz like a Viking after saying the name of the demon god Loki out of respect for all that is good and fun But, you know, I respect your opinion.

Huh. i just watched some gameplay of Banana Blitz...perhaps I've been to harsh on it all these years... Maybe I'll rent it.

The only thing i didn't like about Banana Blitz were the akward boss battles. And really, the motion controls were fantastic of course 'when' playing on a LAG free CRT SDTV. 90% of HDTV's boast input lag higher than 16ms(being the lowest on HDTV's, somebody correct if i'm wrong ) which are usually 30ms and upwards rendering motion controls hampered, to totaly hampered and next to unplayable. I always say, don't judge pointer or motion controls until you've experienced them on a CRT SDTV.

My HDTV boasts around 16ms, i did my research and while it works great. it's 'still' not quite as good as my CRT, which has the edge....Motion control based titles are more noticable, you really do need every single little MS when it comes to the wii remote and it's motion control ActiOrama. And I actually loved the jump button, it gave the game a platformer-like element instead of constantly being restrained to just rolling around, it shakes things up a bit. To each their own i guess.

And c'mon, Banana Blitx is GODLY compared to SMB3D, there's absolutely no flipping comparison. lol
Anyways, the Wii U controller would definitly be a good alternative with it's gyro controls to tilt the game worlds board that's for sure.

Also, i didn't find Banana blitz's stage design to be that dumbed down....They were Albert Einstien compared to MB3D's.
I'd nail Banana blitx with an 8/10(Most of the mini games were trash, plus the Boss battles could of been better) and SMB3D a 4....On a nice day. lol Honestly, my favorite think about SMB3D were the awesome 3D 'pop out book' World introductions. Those were pretty damn neat!

Mario Kart 7 is the newest thing I got for it, and of course, I'm loving it. Also couldn't be more thrilled with my Ambassador games, but that wasn't really a purchase...
The excitement I felt when I got my 3DS last Easter hasn't died a single bit! I'm freakin loving this beast.

My wife bought her own metallic red 3DS a few days ago and yesterday she bought Zelda OOT after she had been playing mine for a few days. I suppose that is a pretty awesome purchase, considering she never plays any games (except the odd iPhone app) and definitely not buying them. What surprises me even more is that she's better at it than me!

Finally picked up this one. Before the holidays I didnt have the extra cash to get it and now after the holidays everyone seems to be out of stock. Well I got lucky today and my local Target got a shipment in. Cant wait to play this game tonight.

Is the 3D effect Double Dragon-Dynomite and April O'Neil-amazing as everybody is saying? I have a copy unopened which I'll be playing after i restart my game of Kirby's Return to Dreamland for the Wii. Knowing me, I'll plow through Return to Dreamland considering it's so frankenstien-retard easy, unless you're trying to go for 100% which I just have to do otherwise the experience may feel incomplete.
