Anyway, I think that is why Nintendo invested some time into better games for the Wii. With GoldenEye and Epic Yarn coming out sooner or later, and all of the other games coming out, They want to (in a sense) give us something that will hold us out until the 3DS does come out.

But the sooner the 3DS comes out, the better for some people.

Honestly I'd rather wait until after Christmas anyway. Games won't be rushed to meet the launch date and it probably won't be as difficult to buy one after Christmas.

I never said they lied, I just though they gave a general timeframe of when it would be released, and December is the last month of the year so it could still be in that timeframe.

I think even if they could, they wouldn't release it in mid-December. Black Friday is just too big of a day for Nintendo to pass up their next f***ing huge thing if they were going to launch it during the holiday season..

Well, we don't have any way of knowing if a Holiday release would be rushed or not.

But anyways, yeah a spring release may actually be better, new consoles don't sell out quite as quickly so it'll be easier to pick one up around launch day.

I love rpgs and platformers the most... racing games are good too!

I found this news article stating that the Nintendo 3DS will be released in Japan on November 20th 2010. I think that this could be true because Nintendo has made it clear that a Nintendo 3DS release date announcement will come on the 29th of this month which is September. Furthermore, with DS Lite and DSi sales slipping (although gaining in Japan as of last week) in the United States it would indeed make sense for the 3DS to get such an early release date and all that is without mentioning the high Nintendo 3DS anticipation that is universal at this moment.

Please don't start saying the current DS which is so primitive compared to new and better graphical capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS has a strong line-up this year as many die-hard good graphics hungry gamers (myself included) would trade in our DSi and PSP systems in a heart beat in exchange for the grand 3DS.

I'm so disenchanted with PC and PSP games right now. I'm looking forward to Paper Mario 3DS and Animal Crossing 3DS.

Nintendo has to translate everything to English as well, before they can be shipped to the US... we'll probably get it in March... :(
but with other DS prices dropping, they must be trying to get ready for the 3DS

Doubt someone making licensed accessories for Ninty would be stupid enough to actually leak a release date on twitter. I mean, they probably want to keep getting licenses for their products in the future. I'm not holding my breath on this one.

i don't see why they'd announce anything this month unless it were relatively close to the release. you've got to build up excitement late enough that people are still excited when the thing comes out, otherwise they'll just forget and lose interest again. maybe i'm wrong, but there's no point to making a big announcement unless that announcement happens to be "it's coming next month, suckers!"
