Nope. The day I get my 3DS is also the day my DSi and DSi XL get relocated to their respective boxes. The DSi will only come out once more for the DSiWare data transfer in March and then its back in the box for all eternity!

What about trading pokemon? Meanie. You care neither for your pokemon or your DSi systems.

Good point......I guess the DSi will have to come out SOMETIMES, but not too often. And quite the contrary, I care for my DSi systems SO much that I want them in their boxes as soon as possible to avoid any damage they may receive being exposed to the outside world any longer. I can't wait for my XL to be put away I got it at launch and vowed to kepp it 100 percent scratch and imperfection free and to this day it remains as perfect as the day I opened it.
@abgar: Why should I take the batteries out?? Can something happen?
The 3DS is going to become my portable gaming machine. I even bought a new handbag/purse to carry it around.
What does it look like? Just curious
LOL. It's nothing that exciting. I just have always carried a rather small handbag with little more than a wallet and a few bits in it. This one is just a bit roomier so I can carry the 3DS as well. It's like this one, except I got it for £30 instead of £57 http://www.kipling.com/uk-en/handbags/all-handbags/new-raisin...

Batteries have a tendency to leak when they get too old, i don't know if the DS batteries do this, but you may end up with a toxic nightmare in a box in 20 years.
As a collector you should know...Most collectors even open boxed RARE electronic toys to take the included batteries off.
Nope, because I gave mine to my 5 year old son He is currently playing Pokemon Pearl, White, and Fire Red (on GBA SP). Although he cant read properly yet, so I have to help him out.....
Can't use a DSi I don't have. I will however continue playing my DS Phat for a long time.
Which is going down as thee' ugliest Nintendo hand held ever created. Don't you want the DS Lite's fantastic brightness settings? It's like night and day. Playing on a DS Phat makes the colors look washed out on top if it all.
The only reason I have my Original DS is so I can play my GBA games. Removing the GBA slot for a camera was the worst idea ever.

This may be an obvious question, but does dsiware have the exact same issues DS games have on the 3DS — having to choose between stretched out or a smaller screen with black bars on the side?

@Waveboy Quick offtopic comment, your avatar and name is pretty good too XD
on topic, some people prefer to be purists, lol. I know a few people that wish to stay with their phat and not change to 3D :S
I, on the other hand. will probably keep my dsi and lite XD

No. Not really. So long as the machine works, I might as well get my money's worth. I still play games on the Gameboy Color. If I get the first generation 3DS, I'll probably stick with it unless it's fundamentally broken.
