If they do, I rather see the Wind Waker get a sequel...on a home console. The Wii needs one.

I love Erica (Strike Witches), Eureka (Eureka Seven), and Tenma (School Rumble), stay away from them. xD
Update: Also love Yukari and Mizore from Rosario + Vampire.
Another Update: Also Yuuki...from School Rumble...
Yet Another Update: Also Amber and Xiao Pai from Rune Factory 4.

Toon Link won't be scrapped. At some point, they might make a Toon Link game on the 3DS, but not for a while. The question is if they want to go down the route of Phantom Hourglass and Sprit Tracks with the touch screen gameplay or The Wind Waker with its broad exploration. I never did play any of the cartoony Zeldas, but once I do, I should have a lot more clear view about where this should go.

Yes, I'd rather them go with the broad exploration in the vein of the Wind Waker on 3DS.

They need to bring back the Link with the gigantic nose, just because that would be funny to see in 3D.

I don't mind SD Link on the handhelds, but I don't want another SD Link on a console.

As much as I liked the Wind Waker, I'd rather see them do something completely new--not even Twilight Princess style. Preferably it would be in 3D (as in the perspective of OoT, MM, etc. not the fancy visual effects).

A top-down Zelda is best confined to 3DSWare, methinks. The handhelds have never had a full 3D Zelda game (apart from unreleased OoT), why do we need another 2D one? They take up most of the series and I feel the 3D titles actually immerse you in the world more.

It's not as if they've ever stopped making the 2D Zelda games either, there have been more of them than 3D Zelda games in the last 10 years. Wouldn't it be interesting to see the console pushed to its limit?

I've got admit that zss_shadow has a good point there.

Still, I honestly like the top down Zelda games like Zelda and the Minish Cap. How about a 3D top down Zelda game?

Nahh I would rather see a OOT/MM/TP style in my opinion it makes more realistic from the view.

Oot/MM isn't really realistic, most of the character designs look like they are from a cartoon.
As for Toon Link, he will probablly come back on the 3DS most likley in a behind the back view.

In the past, i've always thought they should stick with toon for handhelds, and realistic for consoles. But with ocarina of time 3d coming out, I think we have reached the point where the handhelds are powerful enough to deal with realistic graphics like ocarina of time. I hope to see him again, but I think Spirit tracks may have been one of his last appearences.

I hope he gets another 3DS game, maybe with real cel shading. Also less pressing B to attack, Id like to have a control scheme with the slider to move and the stylus for nearly all weapons, including the sword.
BTW, Split TImeline.

Another Toon Link game with the behind-the-back view would make me jizz my pants, seeing as how Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda, but I'm not completely sure if he'll make another appearance anytime soon. Fingers crossed, though. :)

I'm pretty sure I think I'm funnier than I really am.

After oot, we probably get windwalker kind of style zelda.

But there is a chance that we will see 2,5d zelda's return. Just like they did with mario on the DS.

You never saw after the 3D mario another 3D mario platformer in its entire lifespan

Why do you want a fantasy game to look realistic?

In the view I feel more like I am Link, not knowing what is around the next turn. While looking above gives away the felling of being their also it does not give a really spooky feeling.
EDIT: It also can make me feel like the bosses are really big compared to the birds eye view.

I always feel spooked because I'm a bad gamer, it doesn't matter if I know what's around the next corner.

YEP. Our body's are ready for OOT. :P

After OoT, we got Majora's Mask, which is not Wind Waker style ;)

If you're referring to Mario 64, there were three: Sunshine, Galaxy, and Galaxy 2.

the 3DS is certainly more capable of handling a more detailed Link, but they seem to have a good thing going for them with the young link/windwaker timeline zeldas on the handhelds and the adult link/twilight princess timeline zeldas on the consoles. I think they'll probably continue that for the most part. I mean, take for example the style they're going with for the OoT remake on the 3DS. it's not the same toon link we refer to as such, no, but it's far more toony than Twilight princess, and more toony, even the people considered the original OoT.

MM will probably hit the floors if OOT is succesfull, And no, i really did mend windwalker.

About your sunshine galaxy and galaxy 2, they where all console based, After mario 64 ds. there hasn't been any 3D mario platformer developed for the DS.

I actually hoped, it would be more towards the more twilight princess kind of oot remake. ( and with that i don't mean twilight graphics ) but more dark / realistic kind of ).

The dark colors, and surroundings always gave me the illusion that the game was actually based on realism. But that the n64 was limited towards its hardware. Which gave the game overal a more darker and dangerous approach.

Now atm it seems like they are pulling oot more towards the cartoonish level, which i kinda dislike.

Dont get me wrong i will still buy it tho, and it's still my n1 game. But i really would have prefered a different approach.

A good example:

Check the water from Oot n64 and the water in the demo ( that the 2 japenese reporters played ). It just got a cartoonish fibe all over it now. While in Oot it felt more darker/ realistic.

I do hope they gona alter it, but highly doub it.
