With the fairly pricey price tag, its tempting to wait for an elusive slim version. Do you reckon there will even be one, it alreay looks sleek and slim, what can they improve? Maybe flash memorey The DS lite was a must because the DS phat looked ugly but surley the 3ds looks wonderful as it is?

pretty much jumping the gun here, aren't we? lol, as already mentioned, all their previous handhelds received a revamp/upgrade sometime down the line, so i'd have to assume the 3DS would be no different.

The 3ds is based on the lite/dsi design so I doubt they could do too much with it. They are surely going to update it eventually but I'm not going to want to wait the year or two after the release to pick up an "upgraded" version
I hate how people are saying "I'm waiting until the 3DS Lite" or "I'm waiting for the 3DS XL." What makes you think that the 3DS line-up is going to be exactly like the DS line-up? This is a whole new generation! And while Nintendo will probably figure out a way to make it smaller like their past handhelds, the 3DS probably won't be getting any bigger.
I'm pretty okay.

I think there will be negative feedback on battery life of 3DS. Nintendo once stated (or I just thought this out) the battery could not be strong enough to satisfy people willing to play for very long outdoors.

I think you just thought it out, they said they're aiming/it will have battery life comparable to the DSi and it definitely have more battery life than the PSP because it doesn't have a UMD Drive draining the battery.

I hope it doesn't upgrade to fast... If it does have a lite like the second after I buy it, do you knkow how maxde I will be? Of course it will, but as long as its not to much more advanced (like from DS to DSi) I will be fine.
