Topic: Will the 3DS Smash Bros be more graphically advanced then its Wii predecessor?

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be at all surprised. Obviously the Wii U is going to have mind-blowing detail, as is 3DS, but I wonder if the 3DS version will surpass Brawl (Wii) in graphics. For some reason while playing Brawl today I've thinking about how much more detailed the next game will be and if 3DS will be on par or better graphic wise.

Yeah probably, dispute what people may think, the 3DS is IN FACT more powerful then anything we've seen on wii. The shop is defently one point

I very much doubt it. It'll look better in some aspects and worse in others. All in all I think Brawl is gonna look better than SBB4 3DS.

Specifically: it doesn't matter if the 3DS is more capable than the Wii, the answer is no because of the resolution (I'm not bashing it, it's a great resolution for the screen size and I like it.). You can only see so much detail with it though.

That's because the 3DS is more powerful and can produce better visuals. Now, since the 3DS is on a smaller, lower res screen, it can't show as much detail, which is why some people think Wii games look better. But then again, the Wii wasn't HD and usually displayed on a big TV, making it look a bit old depending on the game being played. The 3DS technically does have better graphics then the Wii, but depending on the art style and rendering of the game, some games look better on each system.

Yeah the 3DS is a much more powerful system, I mean look at KIU, heck PilotWings Resort Compared to Wii sports Resort, and the Nintendo network isn't on the wii so yes SSB3D > SSBB

240p isn't much to brag about. And the pixelation is a big issue when it comes to the visuals so I'd personally say it looks worse than the Wii... For now. Hardware wise though the 3DS is a lot more capable than the Wii. Support for shaders, stronger GPU with higher clock-speed etc.

It has to be noted that these are early 3DS games as well. Games should, as always, look even better later down the line in its life cycle.
