I am wondering if its worth buying the 3ds at launch when I have a Dsi and psp 3000 I'm worried that the I'll buy the 3ds and have loads of casual games as we still can't see how the games will be 2 years down the line.I'm thinking of waiting to see what the psp2 offers what do you guys think.

The hype is strong with this one... we can only hope it'll live up, y'know? No one knows for sure how anything will pan out in the future.

There are few benefits to being an early adopter. If you wait then the price of the system and/or its games may drop, the game library will be larger, bugs and flaws will be found, support will improve and firmware updates or hardware revisions will be released. There are no benefits for preordering it - no limited edition devices, free 3DS Point Cards or discounts that we are aware of. AFAIK there are no real disadvantages to waiting on it.

It depends on the release date games. Considering that from what I've heard Street Fighter 4 will be a launch title, it's definitely a must-buy for the fighting game crowd. Other than that, there appears to be nothing else that would immediately interest me.

The cons to being a late adopter is that the next system will be released when you,ve only had the system for a year or to like people who bought a dsi xl instead of a lite or dsi.another cons is that your system will have its support dry up like my gba did.But there are also pros if you adopt later.

I'd rather wait than to regret buying it instantaneously. As quoted above, bugs or blunders may be fixed and the price will inevitably be cut off at some point in time. And to be honest, there are only a few games that are confirmed to be released, others are just mere rumors. So even if you feel the need to try out the technology incorporated in the 3DS, that doesn't mean that you have to stop being wise.
I think I'm going to wait on this one too. I still have a bunch of DS/DSiWare to play. I also want to avoid the mob and wait until the second round of production when the launch bugs are fixed and the hardware is more reliable (hopefully Japan will be good beta testers and most of the kinks will be fixed by US launch-but still). I don't know if I can hold out long enough for the 3DS lite, but price will probably be a huge factor there.
