Gray is a very dull color. The Pokemon formula is getting very dull.
I want something new. Something fresh, something we've never seen before and something that is unexpected. Something that, the Pokemon name can benefit from.
Nobunaga's Ambition X Pokemon There ya go.
That was unexpected, but it's just a crossover with another very "dull" gameplay formula.
It was basically what he wanted though. Fresh,Pokemon has never done ancient china setting or cross over with a third party. He's never seen it before and it was unexpected to everyone. Whether it's good or not or if the pokemon name will benifit from it or not we won't know till we have more info on it. Also, Pokemon grey totes gonna be on 3DS.
Pokémon Yellow was for Game Boy, Pokémon Gold and Silver were for Game Boy Color.
Nope, you're wrong
Check the boxes, I'm not. Yes, all three games worked on either system but Yellow was designed for Game Boy and Gold/Silver were designed for Game Boy Color. So his argument still stands because RBY were all GB games and GSC were all GBC games.
Anyway, I get the feeling this "new game" to be revealed in January is Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition, since CoroCoro said it'd be a "shocking" announcement. I'd be more surprised if it was Grey than anything else.
Unless Nintendo wants to do Pokémon + Fire Emblem, PLEASE GOD
Maybe nobody has thought that calling it Pokémon Grey hints to maybe a new upcoming theme of the game? Oh, I dunno, maybe the plot has to do with things misty, dark and... grey? Let your minds wander a little.
Because maintaining an only vaguely accurate pattern is far more important to Nintendo than shifting hardware units.
Pokémon Gray will be on 3DS.
Just to clarify something: Game Boy and Game Boy Color games came in three flavours:
Game Boy Original - worked on both systems, had a basic two-color palette added when played on a Game Boy Color (which could be changed on the boot screen by pressing a directional key)
Game Boy Hybrid - worked on both systems. Had an advanced pallet when loaded into Game Boy Color, but pallete switching is not possible.
Game Boy Color Only - Only playable on Game Boy Color (had clear game carts)
Pokémon Red and Blue were Game Boy Original titles. Pokémon Yellow, Gold and Silver were Game Boy Hybrid. Pokémon Crystal was Game Boy Color Only.
Game Boy "hybrid" games came in black carts with the same design as original Game Boy carts. Game Boy Color games came in clear carts with a rounded top.

Not always on the hybrid ones - I avoided mentioning that here specifically since the Pokémon Yellow, Gold and Silver carts are the exceptions to the rule (they were yellow, gold and silver).

How's Grey supposed to connect with Black and White if it's on the 3DS?
I'm sure there is some way to program a potential 3DS Pokemon Grey to be able to communicate with Black and White. I mean, DS has wireless capabilities, 3DS has wireless capabilities....can't be that hard.
