I'm wondering why is only this forum section cluttered with already THREE sticky posts ?
I totally understand the handy recommendation thread which got a sticky in every forum section here on Nlife. But can the admins please elaborate why the 3ds needs to be cluttered like this ?
As of now i more enjoy reading the 3Ds eshop since it got always new posts and is not blocked with 3 stickies all the time.
And why only pick 2 random games (pokemon and smash bros) ?
Why didnt get kid icarus a fan service and full sticky thread ? Since that game was the first big AAA title with awesome online modes.
And why is pokemon safari exchange code section still here in 3ds forum ? It doesnt belong here. It's clearly a online discussion thread like any guild / clan thread or any friend code exchange thread.
Why do future games gets stickys and why only one ? Who does even decide the sticky order and status?
Why didnt luigis mansion get a sticky thread as its a first party title and was quite anticipated with good online mode.
Why didnt monster hunter3 get a sticky thread as its one of the rare fan service to core gamers on the 3ds platform ?
Why doesnt monster hunter4 get a sticky thread already since its the next big blockbuster for the 3ds in the west and gets released in the FUTURE. And it will have a huge online mode with clans etc ...
So please admins elaborate.
I'm a regular reader of this forum and noticed that admin work got worse since about half a year. I dont know if u kicked some staff or did reorganize, but its noticable.
If u continue this practice in 6 month this 3ds forum will have first full side with sticky post , and u will never be able to get the news and hot topics, since the first page will be cluttered with useless artificial high score threads.
We sticky threads that we feel are popular. Since Pokemon and Smash Bros are popular series here, they will be stickied. This is to help avoid needless multiple threads on the same topic.

And even stickied, there are still like two or three Pokemon Safari threads made every few days. I can only imagine how much would that amount increase if it wasn't always at the top of the forum.

You use double standards here. Any other post which opens to try to collect friend codes here in 3ds forum section gets ALWAYS closed by admin.
If you create rules for your own forum you have to stick to them and use em accordingly.
Whats the reasoning ? right because it doesnt belong in this forum section and it clutters up the forum.
So why didnt the admins already move the safari to the online section ? There are all friendcode / clan / social game sections.

The moderators have been the same since May. I'm not sure what you're going for here. Should you have any future issues, we'd prefer you use the Contact Form.

We haven't stickied anything lately, so I'm not entirely sure where you are getting this conclusion from. Again, we may consider stickying threads for big releases in the future, but it should not create any big problems. We appreciate the feedback though.

So you could lock friend request threads in the past, but u cant lock pokemon threads in the present and future ?
I asked about the staff since i didnt see much activity from blackdragon lately.
And yes blackdragon did lock and moderate the forum well.
So are u planning to unsticky threads in the future. And will the community be able to choose what threads will get sticky at all?
And yes smash bros and pokemon ARE random games. Since this sticky practice started exactly last year in october 2012.
And yes 3Ds released in 2011 so you had plenty of times to create a proper sticky mechanic and introduce it to a wide audience and game selection.
Smash bros isnt released yet and already gets a sticky topic.
And im pretty sure animal crossing is as popular as pokemon and yet doesnt get a sticky topic. Yet animal crossing got as good connectivity as pokemon with all trading and forniture. So your picks are random and i dont see objective reasoning behind it. unless suddenly in year 2013 this forum cant handle a suddenly backlash of an exceptional growth of community of the sudden arise of a pokemon game in the 3ds library
Why does the kid icarus spotpass weapon exchange thread not already have a sticky , it got already 587.000 views . Thats pretty big if you ask me.
Why doesnt the animal crossing thread dont have a sticky . That thread already got 208.000 views.
The smash bros thread only got 62.000 views. So yes pokemon and smash bros were RANDOM picks which are lacking a justification why only them.
And only because u think kid icarus should been never made or forgotten doesnt mean that the community doesnt like or enjoy that game.

cause copying and pasting threads is still hard for admins to do on this site. Since they have to do it by hand and this website architecture still dont have a quick and efficient method to do it in the year of 2014!!
I've been on forums where more than half of page 1 is sticky threads.
Yeah and im here to prevent that happening in the future. A forum with sites after sites of stickies is not useful at all. Three might sound not much. But they start to grow and the stickies shouldnt grow. And even when stickies have to grow the community should decide which are important and had to be stickied in the first place. IMO those two sticky picks are random to me.
And it has nothing to do with personal liking or not liking. I want a proper system. ( I plan to buy smash bro in future but that has nothing to do with sticky policy)
You see, it's not the amount of views. It's the amount of clueless people who think they need make new threads about them every day.
Nobody cares enough about any of these games right now to make new threads about them constantly, Animal Crossing had it's time as the hot topic, but I think stickies weren't implemented back then. Thankfully there's no new Animal Crossing threads every day now.
Pokemon and smash bros on the other hand, they do. Every little news about smash or every time someone wants an specific safari type, they often create new threads. So it's more important to ensure that these two are more visible.

That's because, even though you need to swap friend codes, you won't use that thread to find people to play online with.... You just want to be able to visit their Safaris.

Yeah but that means also a backpaddling on the admins side. Since it seems the new admins just gave up and raised the white flag over the casual pokemon trolls who clutter their forum full with duplicate and double posting. And im wondering why didnt that happen in the past ? Since the forum did work without too many double posts and was running fine by admins. And suddenly in the year 2014 it aint work anymore. So its very suspect to me.
FYI the pokemon series exist since 1996. So it clearly cant be pokemons fault.

No, it's not pokemon's fault that people are clueless.
It's the amount of new users registering to use the forums to find quick solutions for their new game that don't know how the forums are meant to work.
Making a mod's work easier doesn't meant the modding team has gone downhill, it means the forum is progressing.
