Topic: Which console to buy?

Hey Everyone!

Been considering it for awhile but I have decided to treat myself to a 3DS
Mainly because of Pokemon and Bravery Default Games.

Just having a little trouble deciding which is best way to go about this.
Been looking mainly at the 3DS XL but was told that future games won't play on the console and to wait and get the new 3DS XL
But now in a bit of a pickle is deciding which to buy.
Found some pretty good deals on the original 3DS XL but not overly a good deal if it won't play future games.
I know the new version comes out on 13th.
Is it worth waiting and getting the New version at a higher price or going for the original 3DS XL?

Thanks

What's the difference in price between the old 3DS XL and the New 3DS XL in your area? They have been available in Australia since late last year and they still cost the same amount (AU$250). Some stores haven't even started clearing out the old 3DS units as there are still a few thickheads around that are happy to pay full price for a lesser product.

Unless there is an enormous price difference that would make the old 3DS XL a better purchase, I say stick with the "New" model.

"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"

The 3DS XL is £120.00 and the new one is £189.99
But the new one isn't out till the 13th

GameStop here in the US is clearing out the old 3DS XL stock at $175 while the New 3DS XL will sell for $200 when they release on the 13th.

Haha, I thought this was going to be a PS4 vs. Xbox One debate and I was gonna have to come in here to convince to to get a PC instead!

On topic: It really depends on what games you want to play. If you're just picking up a backlog of popluar games there is no problem with the original 3DS XL (it's what I have). But if you're planning on playing new games like Xenoblade 3D, Monster Hunter 4, etc. Then it's absolutely worth the extra money to get the new 3DS for the extra stick (camera controls) and the extra hardware.

At this point it's worth it to wait and spend a bit more on the new version. If not for the unknown exclusive games, then get it for the improved load times and all around performance on just about every 3DS game, the control nub, the new 3D, and the extra shoulder buttons.

If you plan on downloading a lot be sure to get a 32gb micro sd card and replace the stock 4gb one before you download anything.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

Might as well save and get the newer one if you're going in fresh.
It's not much more, and you'll miss out on some exclusives and improved graphics/added features in others if you don't.
