Topic: Where's the MIC?

Looking at the screenshots and specs list, I don't see a microphone, i'm sure it has to be there because of the DS/DSi backwards compatibility, does anybody know anything about more of the specs?
Haven't been on the forums in awhile, hello everybody! Have fun at E3 Corbie!

It may not have one. The DS games dependent on it may be out of luck as far as backwards compatibility is concerned. We'll know more later, I'm sure.

Hey HawkeyeMartin!

This comes from the E3 3DS fact sheet:

Game Controls: Touch screen, embedded microphone, A/B/X/Y face buttons, + Control Pad, L/R
buttons, Start and Select buttons, “Slide Pad” that allows 360-degree analog input,
one inner camera, two outer cameras, motion sensor and a gyro sensor.

So it's there, it's just hard to see!

it could be located elsewhere on the 3ds, or The Fox may be right -- games that use it won't have that capability anymore, just like games with Slot 2 features on the DSi. lol, Prosody saves the day with bold text :3

Hey Prosody! It's been a while!
Thanks for the info! I didn't see the MIC on the e3.nintendo.com spec list and I got to wondering, I guess I'm just reading everything to fast with excitement over this thing.
I was watching live with the rest of the world and my jaw dropped, I hope it's out soon! I know I'm not alone in wondering about the release date!

It's kinda strange that there's a Analog Stick (I never liked that on the handheld system) but if it's as big as the GameCube Analog stick i guess it isn't a bad thing.

I will like the A-stick or slide pad whatever there calling it, if it's better than the PSPs, and reports already say it works great, there using in the on floor demo to move the camera around and they say the convex top gives it a great feel, I'm sure it will work I just don't want it to be as annoying as the GCN's C-Stick!
I wonder what the final look for the 3DS will be, on e3.nintendo.com it says TBA, and if you can remember when the DS Phat was shown off for the first time at E3 it looked different than the final product, I really wonder what will change, I just hope after it releases that 5 months later the ante-up the trim, size and battery life and call it 3DS Lite, that will grind my gears, it happened this year with the DSiXL, PLEASE STOP IT NINTENDO! LET ME HAVE THE CURRENT TECHNOLOGY FOR 1 YEAR BEFORE ITS OUT OF DATE!
