Topic: Wheres the 3DS Download stations???????

I just thought that the 3DS doesnt have a download station at stores like Gamestop or Wal Mart but they have little stand game demos for people who dont have 3DSs.Do you think Nintendo or whoever makes them will make some for the 3DS and not just the DS?

Maybe eventually. Only time will tell.

Those things never worked for me anyways. I tried one at Toy R Us and Gamestop and my DS never downloaded a demo! >:[
Anyways I'm sure the 3DS can download those demos too so it doesn't need one of it's own.

I think the Nintendo Zone is the replacement for 3DS Download Stations. Plus, if demos are in the pipe for the 3DS eShop then that would also serve as another nail in the coffin for 3DS Download Station. I sort of think Download Stations are a thing of the past, yet, I could be wrong.

You're right TokyoRed. The eShop and Nintendo Zone are both reason why the Download Stations may be obselete. The eShop mostly though because the Nintendo Zone is restricted to Best Buys atm.

Yes, it is mostly at Best Buy for now but I know that McDonalds has a contract with Nintendo and legal stuff for Nintendo Zone both here in the United States and in Japan. Although I haven't seen or read anything I'm willing to bet that McDonalds in the United Kingdom will offer Nintendo Zone at some point.

Nintendo Zone is an app that appears on your home menu when you walk into any Best Buy. It has news about upcoming games and quizzes, too.

I doubt spotpasses can be used to download demos. So far they've only been used to announce things so you can go to the eShop and download them. So I think if we are to get demos it would be in the eShop and be announced via spotpass.

I went to Best Buy yesterday and got a spotpass message about playing the Star Fox 64 3D trivia with Nintendo Zone, but I don't have it... How do you get it? Shouldn't it just appear on the home menu screen?
