Seriously, though. Konami needs to step up its game. PES 2013 with Circle Pad Pro support and online, anyone? And bringing back true Silent Hill? Gradius VI on eShop would also be awesome, too. The point is, though, Konami has a huge amount of IPs to use / bring back. We love most of those games they made in the past, now let's see what they can do now with updated technology.

I didn't say we can't have a prequel. I said that's actually what I'd prefer. >.> I'm just completely blind about this game. When I heard this today I worried it was going to try to stitch together a direct sequel to 4. If it's not I'm fine. I trust Hideo Kojima so I'm not expecting a terrible game. The exact opposite. I was just freaking out a bit in e earlier posts.
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is after MGS4. And it's being made by Platinum Games. Which totally contradicts MGS4 but whatever.

If I'm not mistaken, the only Konami game I got for my 3DS is MGS3D. Besides those soccer games (of which I have no interest), does Konami have anything else out on 3DS?

Also MGS:SE3D is the third best game I've ever played, and it's only a lackluster port of a MGS game. Consider me excited to eventually play the rest of them, whatever the platform (looking like PS3 unless Konami decides to do more for 3DS or even Wii U).
