Topic: Where to get 2DS XL?

I'm looking to get an orange and white 2DS XL, but they're sold out everywhere. I want to get one since I'm going to be playing through the Zelda games eventually, and my launch day 3DS is a bit beat up. Nintendo hasn't announced they're out of production, yet no stores have gotten them for months, unlike the switch, which even got shipments in recently. Is it just best to try to find a good deal on ebay?

@Jordino Edit: 3ds ended, but 2ds hasn't ended yet, as far as I can see. If 2DS XL's aren't discontinued, the outbreak is the problem with supply & production. I looked on store.nintendo.com and it said physical orders are not being taken. I assume because they haven't reopened?

Gamestop has purple for $150. I know you want orange. But like you, I struggle to find stock at regular retail stores. I struggled to find any a couple weeks ago, when I checked to see if anyone had sales. I'm assuming you saw Amazon has orange for $200-210.

Hola, @Eel I've never tried to buy on Amazon of Mexico from the US. If i can change the language to English, will it accept my US credit card?

@1up_mario the problem is, in the US you cannot find stock of the white/orange 2ds xl at regular retail stores, or find online sellers for regular retail price. Currently, only scalpers or very inflated prices.

On the app I can change the country and language separately. And it accepts my Mexican card on the US site. So I expect it to work the other way around too.

About the 2ds. It seems they're out of stock already.

@Jordino maybe @1UP_Mario made a better point than I first thought. On ebay, there is a seller with a very high rating of 99.8% positive feedback - 3900 transactions. Here's orange for $179.99. At the moment, that's the best deal I've seen. I'm going to try signing into Amazon mexico to take a look around. A couple weeks ago @Eel found new 2ds xl's on Amazon Mexico, and bought one. Eel lives in mexico, but the point is, Amazon Mexico had more stock and actual sale prices.

@eel I'm on the desktop version of Amazon.com.mx, and I cannot find where to change the language. Do you know where it is for desktop or mobile platfoms? Can't find "lengua" or "idioma" (For anyone else reading, that's spanish for "language")

EDIT: at the bottom of the main page on Amazon US, there is a drop box to change language, but Mexico doesn't have that. Very tricky

I'm not entirely sure, I've never considered changing the language of the desktop version. It's quite easy on the app though.

@WoomyNNYes I found a slightly used orange one still complete in box on ebay and bid for only $120 with a coupon. I was also watching that $179.99 one you were talking about, and the seller happened to offer it for $165 ($149 with a coupon) right after I had bought the other one, but oh well. My local Walmart also had 6 turquoise for only $100 each, which oddly weren't listed as in stock at that store online.

@Jordino Yeah, that whole business of online retailers showing their in-store stock is deeply flawed, or inaccurate. Although, another reason can be that they want you to come to the store to buy. Back when the Switch came out, Target purposely didn't show in-store stock of the Switch on their website because, they wanted you to come to the store to buy - that strategy I understand.
