All this talk about which Zelda title to remake, how many Pacman games to fit onto a shovel-ware title and seventh Mario Kart game (ok i'm pretty excited for it) has left a hole in my heart. Did everyone else forget about the sleek graphics, ridiculous difficulty, and sheer speed of the F-Zero series? It has been just two months shy of 7 years since we have seen anything new from the series and I would do anything to see Captain Falcon grace the screen in 3D! What would you guys like to see in a new title and how can we show Nintendo that the market is here! Online F-Zero? Yes Please!
Anyways, i reallly think NIntendo needs to add weapons in their next F-Zero outing. GX's controls were superb, but the addition of weapons and items could of really made things more interesting, or at least have the option in doing so.
That could be interesting but also maybe too much like Wipeout? I found F-Zero was less about taking out the other players and more about navigating/surviving the intense courses. Of course the multiplayer was never that exciting so I guess weapons would definitely help that.
F-zero would be so great in 3D. I can only imagine the 3D affect being so intense you throw up at times. Until you get use to it. F-zero in HD with 8+ online would be pretty sweet too. I love F-zero and really want a new game in the series already. Both of Nintendo's new consoles are perfect for a new entry in the series. There is no excuses! Make one Nintendo.
IDK why but I think the DS/3DS would be awesome for Reviving Ice Climber (its the double screens) but yeah F-Zero Needs to happen

a new 1080 snowboarding game would be nice too. i know nintendo have revived a few of their franchises lately, but they`ve let some of their recent ones go by the way side. i hope things change, because a new entry of f-zero, wave race, or 1080 would be more than welcome on the 3DS, or maybe a launch title for the wii u. nintendo could even get another dev to make those games, just so long as that dev has a good background in racing games.

I see what you did there. Hah, I doubt Nintendo could get that many people online without the game lagging! Even though I love them.

If weapons were added, I think they really should be optional. For me the thrill of F-Zero is beating others through pure racing skill, and I think the speed of a game like GX is too fast for weapons to be much fun.
Of course, if they added them I'm sure they would make them work, but as Retro_Gamer said, I think then they'd run the problem of having to differentiate it from a game like Wipeout.

I always preferred the original game to the other titles of the series so a game going for that style on the eShop would be my favourite thing. (Maybe a la Mega Man 9/10 or Excitebike: World Rally and with added 3D.) Good idea, Retro_Gamer. But at the very least they should bring F-Zero and/or F-Zero 2 as a 3D Classic and continue the GBA VC with the two portable F-Zero titles.
On the other hand ... if Retro did it ...
