It was a very nice addition when available on the 3DS eShop but aren't there more of them ? You think Nintendo is developping new 3D Classics ??
Would be very awesome having new ones !! Who agrees ?

I thought Nintendo said there would only be 6 3D classics something about being hard and time consuming to convert NES games to 3D or something like that.

Maybe it is hard to do, but I would pay $20...probably even $25 for Super Metroid and Link to the Past in 3D. C'mon Nintendo, make it happen! :)

Nintendo said that the 3D Classics ended up being a lot of work, as it wasn't as simple as porting the game while adding 3D effects - lots of stuff had to be redone from the ground up. Because of this they decided they would only make 6 - and would simply release all future titles as VC releases.

I make Pixel Art on occasion.

Well even though its hard, maybe they can make just 1 per year or something... they had a good thing going.

I agree, but only if they actually applied this to very famous or great titles.
Excitebike, Xevious and Twinbee and Punchout were just not good enough to be 4 of the 6 3D Classics.

I also find it weird that two of the 3D classics are vertically scrolling shooters where you play as a spaceship. Sure, Kirby and Kid Icarus are both platformers, but they have COMPLETELY different play styles and are very different games.

Games That should be getting the 3d Classic treatment.

1.Mario all 8/16 bit versions
2.Sonic all 8/16 bit versions
3.Castlevania all 8/16 bit versions
4.Bonk All versions

I could list a bunch of NES, NEC, Sega and PCengine games that should also get the treatment but I dont think whoever is developing these 3d Classics really cares to much at this point
