I'd hold out if it wasn't for Ocarina of Time 3D, but I must have it, my precious!!
Ocarina of Time isn't even a launch title for Japan. It comes out in Japan in Spring 2011 so the chances aren't very high that it'll be a launch title for NA or Europe.
Probably getting a Vita with LBP soon...

I'm gonna wait for my next birthday in hopes more games will come out and a price drop

When I have money for it. Right now I've got $100 in 3DS money, so I should have enough a few months after the 3DS is released.

After the announcement of the shorter battery life, I think that I'll hold out until Dragon releases more powerful batteries for it.If they don't, then I'll try to wait for a better version to be released.

That's what I'm thinking too, Robo-goose. I'm going to try and hold out for the 3DS lite, but if the price doesn't turn out to be too high and there's a must have game for me that comes out sooner, I might cave.

When the price drops down to a reasonable level so it's not competing with consoles.

Probably a year or two down the road.
This. I'm gonna wait a while for the game library to build up.

I'll wait til the Library develops, is which I do all ways with a system.
Retro Studios, go reboot Star Fox. The franchise needs it.

Well, that was quick. People are already selling better batteries http://cgi.ebay.com/900mAh-Li-ion-NEW-Battery-Nintendo-3DS-UT...900 mAH still isn't much, though. If I can find one of these for the 3DS then I'll be set.
@Token+GirlIt'll be like trying to avoid spoilers for Black/White, but with $250-$300 on the line.

I waited until Mario Kart came out before I got a DS, and I may end up doing the same for the 3DS. I'm a bit torn though. I'm always the guy who gets the first generation of a handheld and wishes I had the new installment that always comes out. I still have my original GBA and DS Phat. But I don't know if I can wait for the improved 3DS!

I'm not sure about getting the 3DS on launch anymore. Especially because of the battery life. Maybe I'll wait for the 3DS lite.
76. Posted: Thu 13th Jan 2011 14:47 GMT
Well, I wasn't going to get it at launch, and wait for a better version. But then I looked up the original DS, and it was 2 years before the DSlite came out, and 2 years after that before the DSi. So, I'm not waiting 2 years for the new version of the 3DS, might as well get my hands on one as soon as possible! (Plus I already sold my DS lite, and now have nothing to play my ds games on).

As soon as I've got the cash to get it. Will this event occur before or after launch? I don't know.

I'll get it when the 3DS-Lite with it superior screen/battery is released, i.e. in approximately 18 months time.

Wait, how are they better if they have lower power? The 3DS has a 1300 mAh battery

The DS Lite didn't come out a full 2 years after the DS. It was more like a year and a half. I remember, because I waited a year before I got a DS, and then like 6 months later the DS Lite came out. That was frustrating.
