We have had reports that Nintendo in Europe will be holding a press conference scheduled for January 19, 2011, with a possible release date to be made official for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS console. It is predicted that the date will be somewhere in the month of March 2011 and the price set for the 250 euro range, or 200 pounds.

Yep, even the source says there's been no official announcement regarding what'll be revealed at said conference, though we can assume all we like, i suppose. idk where your 'predictions' are coming from, but there's no telling what'll go down.

Yeah, I think you're mistaking the United States of America and the continent of North America.
A little clarity for the confused: this is about the January 19, 2011 press conference by Nintendo of Europe, where it's speculated - but only speculated - that the European 3DS release date will be announced. The only solid information here is that NoE is holding a press conference on Jan 19. It may not even be related to the 3DS, lol.
I'll be counting down the days. Here's hoping for a price point no more than $250 with games (generally) no more than $40. And awesome launch titles. And a bunch of other cool stuff.
There is indeed a conference/event/meeting in Amsterdam on that day but there's no further details on what's going to be there, other than Nintendo, a whole bunch of European journalists and me.

I remember sitting up all night back in September when Nintendo held their Japanese conference, hoping desperately for info and being disappointed. Not sure why it will have taken four more months for Nintendo to announce a release date only a few weeks after Japan's. Nonetheless, I can't wait; January 19th is when the whole 3DS journey really begins. We've had the announcement, a rough release date and a shedload of confirmed titles. But having a date to look forward to playing the 3DS, knowing how much to save and being able to build a launch-title wishlist will be very satisfying.
