So, of course I want to play my free game ASAP. I have the code, but I'll be out drinking and the like by the time Jan 1st arrives. My question is, can I download the game when it's 00:00 Jan 1st for me (I live in England), or is it based on a certain time elsewhere and do I have to wait six hours into Jan 1st or however long it takes for America to reach the time.

I hope that makes sense. An example is challenges for Halo Reach following an American timeline, so I have until 10am to do what Americans have to do before some time in the night, if I understand correctly. My point is, when my 3DS in England reaches 00:00 can I get my game or do I have to wait for some allocated time set at another time zone to download it? not that I mind sleeping and getting it when i wake up, but i'd prefer to get it asap, as i'll be awake and ready. thanks

@Kaysab: Nintendo's own website doesn't really specify what time, but since it's a NoE promotion, I'd say it's fair to assume that they'd be going by a European time zone, not an American one.

thanks to you all. and yes, you need to contact nintendo if you have no code. the email header didn't seem specific, i seem to recall reading "for registering your 3dsxl..." and you usually skip anything that mentions registering since its either "thanks for registering to X forum" or some random junk about god only knows what. make sure you definitely dont have the email and youve skipped it, or its in the spam folder etc etc everyone knows this etc

Currently downloading my free game, so it's probably working now!
