If it is still in development, Nintendo needs to say "We're working on it, relax" but we haven't heard any news on this project for almost 2 years.

This, I think we'll get it eventually, but they'll probably want it to be on both platforms and cross compatible so it will take alot longer for this.

Yeah i agree with TheDreamingHawk I don't want it neither. After it messed up our computer a couple of years ago it isn't worth re-downloading back on my old dsi for all the money in the world. Plus when I talked to nintendo several years ago when I was playing on flipnote on my dsi nintendo made very clear to me over the phone that the company was by Hatena who made the app not nintendo. So it's really up to Hatena if they decide to put the app back on the game systems as a download not nintendo. Nintendo only has to approve of the games on the system not tell companys to make the games regardless.
Maybe Hatena's profits for a sequel weren't high enough from people buying colored stars lol.

Hatena ran the online features of the app. It was developed by Nintendo EAD Tokyo. And the sequel has already been confirmed by Ninty. I think the problem they have is that Hatena made such a mess with the online in the last game Ninty want a different company running it...
