I need suggestions for good Japan exclusives I should get and I only have The Legendary Starfy 4 and Rhythm Tengoku: The Best Plus. Any games I should look at?

@SSB4Life_get_it: Well, Dragon Quest 8 on the 3DS is so far still Japan only. My all time favorite game, so I'd definitely import if I was rich.

I'm waiting on Tongari Boushi to arrive in the mail. The latest Rocket Slime game I have heard is awesome too.

Umihara Kawase Kanzenban for DS! It has Umihara Kawase, Umihara Kawase Shun and the DS remake of Shun in one package and is pretty affordable right now!

Ganbare Goemon: Tōkai Dōchū Ōedo Tengu ri Kaeshi no Maki on DS. It's usually fairly cheap as it was not an expensive game to start with. It's usually about $20USD

I've got a question to all of you though slightly off topic:
Is it a criteria for you how much story and text the game has?
I would imagine that A LOT of the japanese games that I'd want would be (more or less story heavy) adventures.
Since I don't speak Japanese I don't import them. If I would, I would be frustrated not being able to understand the story.
Or do you all have Japanese skills to some degree?
Does anyone of you even try to learn Japanese by playing video games?

E.X. Troopers would be my first recommendation, but only if you don't have a PS3.
Other than that, Super Robot Taisen DX/UX, PuyoPuyoTetris, and maybe Terra Formars might catch your interest.

Cross Treasures is a NDS action RPG game with very strong support for multiplayer (both Multi- and Single card play) which I recommend, especially if you also have friends who know Japanese. Even though it's been out for ages and has a ROM, it has never been more than fractionally translated.

I'm actually intending to learn Japanese through the aforementioned Tongari Boushi. It's like animal crossing with spells so it has a lot of common nouns

@SSB4Life_get_it: Depends on your level of understanding Japanese or if you willing to learn while playing.

As for games I would recommend guessing that your only talking games that can play on a 3DS-
Get GameCenter CX games. 2 for DS and 1 for 3DS. Great retro gaming fun.
The Yokai Watch series. I know that we are getting the first at some point but you can play it now and for not a lot of money and 3 will be out at some point soon.
Catch up with the Phonix Wright games.

Just to get you started.
