I like this idea but I don't think it'll ever happen. While the Mario franchise has seen plenty of experimentation, from party games to sports games to RPGs to educational games, the only variation on Zelda we've seen thus far is twin swords. I just can't see it happening.

Slim chances I'd say, more chances with the PSP2 or PS4 for a FF7 remake. Feels so wrong on a nintendo console since VII they have been on SONY...and now Microsoft. Nintendo gets all the dumb kiddo spin off games of FF while the real games are on another console.

I really liked Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass... they were freeking awesome. Still, a Twilight Princess type/quality Zelda on the 3DS would be freeking awesome. OoT should be able to satisfy my 3D Zelda in 3D for a while though.

Nywho, other games. I'd like to see a full widescreen Wario Land Shake type hand-drawn 2D platformer on the 3DS. Make the sprites really clean and push the parallax well into the background. I'd also like to see Retro do a new Donkey Kong Country game for the 3DS because DKC Returns looks like it was made for the 3DS. Same with New SMB which.. I see someone has already mentioned... maybe even a new 3D Mario Game. A remake of Galaxy I wouldn't buy but I would buy Galaxy 3 3DS in an instant.

Also PunchOut!!..... and a new GTA III/IV type GTA to get the Sony fanboys all frothing at the mouth. I probably wouldn't buy it (I'm over GTA) but it would be good fun to see the PSP faithful see a new GTA III/IV type GTA hit the 3DS and not the PSP/PSP2 ;)

Either or. I am happy with original sequels developed for certain consoles. The DS was littered with remakes...as it seems to be the new trend with rereleasing games in the industry again. It's like Hollywood, they are afraid to take a chance I guess, so they rerelease a beloved game with updated graphics and what not. Are all the original ideas gone?
