Topic: What do you want to be shown at the upcoming 3DS event?

Even though the Wii U needs it more, the 3DS is getting an event all about, well, 3DS. What do you want shown at this event? I want more gameplay footage for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, info on new content for Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, a 3D remake of Super Mario Sunshine or a Super Mario 3D Land sequel (though I'm aware that Nintendo's hard at work with 3D Mario game for Wii U), a new Zelda game on 3DS, a new Kirby game on 3DS, New Super Luigi 2 (to go alongside New Super Luigi U), a new IP, and third-party 3DS games like a new Sonic adventure on 3DS, Mutant Mudds 2, Shovel Knight, and a new Klonoa game (not a remake) for 3DS. What do you guys want to be shown at the 3DS event? What are your thoughts on it? Please discuss.

I don't think there'll be any new games. I worry that this event is being hyped up too much - it could just be a press thing. It just sounds like a chance for Nintendo of America to showcase some new 3DS games like Animal Crossing and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D before they launch.

If there is any new information, it could be for Mario & Luigi or Mario Golf. More than likely for Mario and Donkey Kong, Flipnote Studio 3D etc., since they're out earlier.

I want a 3DS Zelda game to be shown, I want a 3DS Lite/i model to be shown (with a XL version of the same unit as well) and I want Miiverse on 3DS to be shown. I doubt they'll announce anything though, since E3 is around the corner.

Miiverse for 3DS seems most likely.

What exactly do you think a "3DS Lite" could do that isn't already accomplished by the regular 3DS? A DS lite and a 3DS are ready the same size basically. Any smaller than that and the screen size would have to shrink or the controls would become so cramped no one above the age of 8 would be able to hold it comfortably.

I think it's just going to be a day for press to play development builds of stuff so they can go away, write previews and build hype. If Nintendo were going to announce games they'd probably do it in a Nintendo direct, or maybe a press conference. If that's right, then there's very little for us to get excited for, BUT I'm going to pretend it IS a day for announcing new games and I'd like to see...

Brand new Zelda (not a port or remake)
An RPG from Monolith
A new Advance Wars
A 3D Starfox Adventure type game (by Next Level Games)
GBA games available on the 3DS Virtual Console (the ambassador games plus a much bigger selection).

Better design, improved cameras, make it thinner, bigger screen size, move the stylus to the side, take away the metallic stylus in favor of a plastic one, make it lighter etc.

Just making it thinner and lighter could warrant a Light modell

The operating system will probably not change. But Miiverse could definitely 'fit' (well, it WILL fit either way.. since it's confirmed to be happening). They could re-do the home screen and make it look more like the WiiU one, adding Miiverse to it etc. Then all they'd have to do is make 3DS game Miiverse enabled and create sections for each games and link accounts between 3DS and WiiU so that you can use the same user on both.

Hopefully they'll do a good job on brining it over to the 3DS.

Nintendo already said that they would come out before summer, so probably next month or early to mid-June.

Ya, this probably won't be to announce new games. No one really knows, so it would be hard to speculate. I'm not even gonna try guessing.
