@LinktotheFuture Okay, thanks. Then the yellow one you need is one you get at primo palazzo (although I have no idea where that is anymore, sorry!)
And don't you mean bottem left blue? Somehow I can't see where to get that one in the list But maybe doing the yellow one first will give you this. Good luck!
Also, asking for the next fragment you can do by info->next fragment (1st option in the list). Note that this will not always lead to a new one as sometimes you have to trigger another event first.
@Lynox
Got the yellow fragment! Thanks. Looks like the last one is from King Maximo, I have to give him some amount of mini medals. I just got the miracle sword from him, and he said the next reward is an enclosure plan, so it may be awhile until I get the last blue fragment.

How is the game's story? Is there a strong cast of likable main characters? Will the game keep one engaged enough to complete the (reportedly) long main story line, or does it get old?
How is the combat and related systems (jobs/classes, leveling skills?) and does it get old or still feel fun and fresh throughout the game?
I'm interested in this game, but the length is putting me off. I really like to finish my RPGs and don't want to feel like I'm forcing myself to finish an absurdly long one if it isn't fun enough to make you want to finish it.
Thanks fellow NLifers.

The cast is great. A lot of the dialogue is optional, but you can get some great reactions to a situation when you press the talk button.

It's the same as most Dragon Quest games. The class system is slow, but it pays off once you get access to the better classes.

It's long, but it's very episodic. It's not like Xenoblade where it takes 20 minutes to an hour to get across an area. You travel across islands that range from small to big.

@TheLZdragon@SMEXIZELDAMAN Yep, I agree. The game is a great fit for playing small bits at a time, while also allowing longer play sessions. The problems on the various islands generally don't take more than 1 hour to solve, though the bigger ones may take some more time.
The story is quite loose in that way also. Every island has it's own theme, culture and story. I'm now a bit over 50 hours in and now I finally get the feeling that everything is coming toegether more and more. I feel more engaged by the game now too. The slow start (until Alltrades Abbey, where you unlock Vocations, around the 15-20 hour mark) is something you have to get past, but after that the game starts to shine a lot more!
Beat this game last week. Oh man, was it fun. The final boss was BRUTAL, but it was so worth it beating him in the end. Paladins with Kazing/Multiheal/Oomph learned makes it a lot easier. Great game overall, I see why people were so hyped for it. (Myself included.)
@Fiyaball Great to hear! How long did it take for you?
About a month. The final boss took about half an hour. It's worth noting there are two separate paths in the final dungeon that each give great equipment. The Purple portal is the point of no return, so make sure to evac there. Also, have multiheal and kazing.
Definitely a must have title. Heard lots of negatives about it before so I planned to give it a pass. its definitely worth. You should however bring a lot of patience and spare time with you.
since i am in this game now...a question:are vocations so important that i have to do perfect them all;;;
Nah, maybe for the final boss and end game bosses, but definitely not for normal play. Just pick a balanced team and choose a new class once you have mastered one. That worked for me.
I just beat the game this morning and damn was it a drag at times. It took me around 70 hours, with around 10 hours of pure grinding included. The pacing is just so slow, but it picked up really nicely in the end and I liked how the whole world suddenly came together for the final clash. The class system works really well. The visuals and music were nothing to write home about, but they do the job well. A more varied soundtrack would have been very welcome, but I guess we have to be happy that this game came to the west at all. Now bring on pokémon Sun

For the smoothest ride, go priest>martial artist>paladin, then experiment from there. Oomph, Multiheal, and Kazing are almost required for the final boss.
